So figured I would start a thread to log some of my progress on my build. It will be a fairly modest build by the standards in this forum. I am starting with the following.
2 Door
Big Bend
Sasquach
Mid package
Signature lights
2.7
10-speed auto
Factory roof rack
Yakima SUP rack
Eruption Green...
I did a little upgrade this morning to my rack. I have the 1-up rack with the rack attach. Due to the angle of the bracket on the rack i was not able to fully open the rear door without swinging the rack away as the tire would bump into the rack, which kinda sucks.
Luckily you can purchase a...
mine is the version 1. But I think my hitch is longer, it’s not the stock ford hitch, it’s aftermarket so is longer which I think helps. But yes the new version 2 of the Rakattach has a side loading lever so should not interfere.
they can it’s just a pain to setup and I have a pretty old Mac anyway it barely runs Mac OS 😂 as I either use my work Mac or iPad all the time. I am upgrading speakers and adding kicker amps so would like to unlock the rears.
i only installed the fronts so far, but so far so good. We’re pretty easy to install and seeing and hearing the rocks the SAS tires pick up and throw worth it for sure. Not as concerned about the backs so no paint behind to worry about.
So I took mine off with the intention of painting the rings but think I am just leaving them sans rings. It looks really good with out them and didnt cost me a dime.
I will be building out the back of mine for an MTB setup as well. I have a 2 door and just removed the seats. Going to start by building some type of platform. Also looking for a good airtight storage box maybe roam to store the sweaty stuff.
Has anyone removed the seat belts from the rear roll bar so they dont flap around? Since I dont have the seats in would like to maybe take them out.
Also Trying to think of a way to add power to the rear cargo storage area in the right panel. If I wanted to try and flush mount a couple USB...
Just wondering if anyone is aware of a seat delete deck other than goose gear? Don’t get me wrong it looks great but $900 is crazy expensive. I will probably just build my own if there is nothing else out there. Got my seats removed today. Probably going to build a sub box/divider behind the...
you sure you have the harness behind the bumper? I just received my 2022 big bend with mod bumper, I took off the plastic cover and did not find a wire.
Just picked it up Monday. Took the roof rack and roof off first time tonight. A bit of a pain as all videos showed only 4 bolts to remove the top but there are also bolts on each side at the top front so I was confused for a bit why it was not budging. Maybe new with 2.0 Mic?
