Interesting and a good point. It's definitely not unusual to see that milkiness in both the Ford EB, VW GDI PCV catch cans, yet I've never seen any evidence of it in the oil pan. My guess is that what little water condenses and returns to the pan just vaporizes again and eventually does make...
So you collected some of this exhaust carbon and were able to trace its origins back to the cold side of the intake valves and stems? That's great! I wasn't sure this was possible.
Okay, sorry, I truly can't help myself... natural born smart a$$.
That said, I've seen the intake valves of...
Probably. But wouldn't you look forward to that court case? I would.
A catch can, properly installed will not cause any harm. Now if you screw something up, that would be on you.
Agreed on the premium.
But I haven't seen anything solid to indicate that this Italian tune-up strategy is at...
Pretty simple piece of aluminum that replaces the stock breather plate. The aftermarket ones add an extra baffle that should help reduce the amount of oil vapor making it up into your catch can, or onto your valves. Radium and Mountune both make one. There are probably others.
Since Ford...
If I do end up with the 2.3 (want the manual), I'll probably swap in one of the extra baffled PCV breather plates along with a catch can (or two). If I'm going to go through the trouble, might as well do as much mitigation as I can, all at the start.
Do you think the OP may have just made that up because they know it will fire up the rage mob. Could be a die hard Jeep fan. Could just be someone that likes to push people's buttons. Could be someone with a misinformed dealer.
I hope that this doesn't break the sanity of this forum again...
Yea, and the problem is that they are pushing folks away from the manual by not offering it with the 2.7. This, and the cool trail turn assist... oh, can't forget remote start... and heck... what are the goat modes even going to do in a manual?
I'm desperately hoping that the 2.7+auto upgrade...
This all, I know. My question was whether or not it may also be "locked out" unless the transfer case is in low mode.
If I do something condescending like explain what a transfer case is, or what low gear/mode is on the transfer case, people will call me mean. So I won't do that.
I feel a bit fortunate. Since I'm planning to go with a 2-door and the Badlands, I'll have less weight along with the 4.7 final drive gears. It would be a much more challenging decision if I was going with a 4 door, an automatic, or a model with taller gears.
Still, I think the people who are...
I can't recall... Out of curiosity, do we know whether or not the crawl gear will be restricted to when the transfer case is in low gear? I can't think why or how it would be, just curious.
Interesting, I had assumed it was chrome, I guess I hadn't looked closely enough. Still not sure about white either though. Time to decide though.
Thanks
Just talking about the BRONCO letters. They are chrome on, I think, every model but the base. I don't want my badlands to be fancy and sophisticated, I want it to mean... even with it's tiny little turbo 4-banger :p
Gotta say, I'm happy to be here. I can't find any people IRL that are as excited about this as I am. I don't understand what these people don't get??? We're talking about the return of a legend... an icon!
Anyway, happy to be able to celebrate the occasion here with all you fine folks.
I'd prefer the MIC top in black, with the removable panel. But that's not what they're offering.
If I hate the gray, I'll probably spray a layer of PlastiDip on it. That way I can even change it pretty easily to try out white, if I feel so inclined. The stuff is pretty durable, easy to fix...
You're wrong. If they come to the conclusion that it's doing more harm than good, then no, he will stop responding casually to tweets on the weekends. Everything will have to run through their teams of lawyers and either be ignored, or take days. Frankly, I could care less. I'm not on the...
I'm not going to argue about it. I just think you're wrong.
I like to think that Mike would even give you a break if you made careless mistake. He's probably a decent human. At least I'll give him the respect and latitude that should be afforded any decent human... until he proves himself...
We need some mechanism on this site where we can upvote posts with a special "epic post" flag. When I read the same post a second, and third time and still find myself laughing, it need to be enshrined.
Yea, E60 in the summer... that's pretty bad. I really wish that we had some of those slick "mixer pumps" that basically let you choose your ratio and mix it on the fly. It just seems that the whole corn gas things has subsided somewhat since we started fracking oil like mad.
