If this isn’t an issue and is just “normal” manufacturing error then why don’t we have a similar list for the 2.3L?

If this happens to us, should we be concerned about having them replace more than just the engine? How can we rest easy knowing that metal pieces didn’t make their way into other parts of the vehicle that will cause damage later?

Happy to report that I made it home safe. Considered having it towed and calling an Uber, but most 2.7s blow around 2000 miles so I probably have another 500 reliable miles.

I’m hoping for an aftermarket solution like this. Perhaps the cushioning could be taller in the cargo area to level out the area:

Damn. I never saw the post from that technician. He’s dead on with the 5000 miles as well. Why isn’t this a recall?

The Broncos extremely modular hardtop was a big selling point to me over Jeep. I love how all passengers can experience open air with no tools. Yours would have to deliver significantly higher build quality and/or a lower price for me to consider it over a factory replacement. I hope to never...
