No, you don’t need them with the key. During its automatic setup it will determine which frequencies to send to your speakers.

This is the worst part of it all. If they would just be honest and transparent it would go a long way. However, they continue to be shady. I really wanted to support an American car brand but this is unfortunately why I have avoided it for so long.

You can setup the key to detect it from the high level inputs which is awesome. The other cool feature when you do that is the blue input wire to the amp is turned into an output so you can use that as the remote turn on for your sub.

@Lv429 sorry to see this. Very disheartening. Sounded like there were kids in the car. Glad everybody is safe. @Ford Motor Company I knew I was risking issues with purchasing a brand new design, but I thought they would be less severe than this. This is almost worst case scenario when an...
  8. CoPilot 360 - How is it working for you?

  10. JcrOffroad - prototyping begins!

Nice stuff with the winch mount and camera kit, but they do seem pricey. I may have to hold out for other offerings.

So basically Toyota needs to release a convertible FJ. Gotcha.

I wonder how many 2.7s outside of this window have even been delivered.

@Ford Motor Company needs to acknowledge this and give us some feedback.
  15. Base System Subwoofer Install

I have the factory unit powering the rear speakers. The rear speakers aren’t really all that important to creating a soundstage. They really just add a little bit of fill sound. I followed what some others have done with the kicker key and mounted it under the steering column. It fits...
  16. ADV Fiberglass - Bronco Hardtop Teaser - Part 3

I think I’ll have to see one with the slanted Rear glass. I love the way the OEM top looks.
  17. Base System Subwoofer Install

So, if you take a look at the speaker wiring diagram the factory head unit provides signal to the front 6.5” speakers and that same signal is routed up to the 4” speakers in the dash. I took the input to the 6.5” speakers and input that to the kicker key. I ran the 6.5” outputs from the key to...
