You could also put the ring on the outside of your case. I have a separate case for my motorcycle because it uses a klockwerks iOmount. Amazing product but the metal disc prevents wireless charging. Switching cases wouldn't be worth it in your situation but would the ring on the outside bother...

My thoughts are adding a little light to the interior for night driving. I work night shift and the light buttons above the rear view mirror are too small to easily turn on while driving. But you're right and that's why I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

If someone else installs your parts you look over the work. Compare it to the instructions if you're not sure what you're looking at. If you install it and skip common sense steps you deserve what you get... moving parts + exposure= Duh

I installed the dry SB filter and am happy with it. Maybe a little MPG increase, idk. But it's very well built, great longevity, great filtration. I'm not high revving so I would never see the benefits from an air box swap.
