You are correct on Ford knowing where those reservations are going to. Laura is in our local region and everyone in our area has been aware of how they do things, so for some of us dealers, this pricing model isn't much of a surprise. Most big dealers i think are taking these reservation shifts...
Market share will still be a factor for dealer allocations. Its not just overall how many vehicles a dealer sells. Its also against that dealers market share against other Ford dealers in their area on how many they will receive.
Well then shit were in agreement lol. I don't agree with some of the ways the reservation/allotments are happening. Granger was simply an example of one of the dealers going ahead with heavy discounts that may have reservation holders get screwed. Not grangers fault in any way, they are just the...
Yeah, sorry I was busy working and not able to just flat go through everything at the moment lol. Luckily, it got explained. Just be prepared that things are probably not going to go the way you are arguing they will. We will root for the latter, but I fully see dealers who are putting up big...
Yes, the ultimate goal is overall market share, but allocations are being based on those factors i stated. Ford knows there are people who won't be happy about it. They also know selling them won't be a problem. Look at this group for example. Its has a following.
Yes, because some people needed a literal breakdown of what it means. Nothing wrong with that. At this point I'm just entertained. One of the higher Ford reps stopped by and went over all of this with a couple of us the other day because we asked when he was in. Why? Because we wanted to know...
Let's explain this one last time for the people in the back.
Sept 18th.
No pamperin needed. I would have rather reservations be filled in the order they came in, no matter who they chose as their dealer. No matter if they changed dealers or not. Its not good news for my reservation holders...
We haven't set what our pri
Yes, per the memo, thats the day they had the # of reservations they could fulfill 2021. Doesn't mean all those will be 2021. Don't be shocked when dome pre 18th get bumped yo 2022's. This has been explained how and why lol. I mean seriously lol. There's really only...
Hardly. You clearly have a phenomenal understanding of what's happening on the allocation side and know exactly how many allocations each dealer is getting vs how many pre sept 18th reservations each dealer has. I guess we will just wait and see if loads of pre 18th people wind up unhappy with...
Absolutelty i would think. I think some will, and some won't.
Yes, I did in fact call you out. I laughed at the thread because as everyone has seen and witnessed throughout this that Ford cN throw a complete curve ball and change things.
The entertaining part of it is you attempted to "call me...
Ive read enough of the threads to know its a pretty good group with a couple of loose screws hanging around lol.. Thats why I joined. Were all here for the same thing, the bronco.
I didn't imply anything about Granger. I implied Fords allocation. I come from a dealership that doesn't allow adm, sells to anywhere in the states. I'm not concerned about how Granger is doing their thing because that's their choice. I'm not targeting out of state markets, and that's my choice...
I never said someone who reserved first thing, but the explanation has been explained in this thread a few times now at this point. Allocation per dealer is going to have a bigger factor on reservations than people think.
Right! I'm hoping, but not counting on it. I joined this group because I thought it was a good group. I shared my concerns based on what Ford is currently saying, also saying that it could all change. Laughed my ass off after a few tools came in with some shit comments not understanding what I...
thats cute. So you have put 2 and 2 together then as well as to just what i was saying that has ben confirmed for most of the day? That allocations to dealers could dramatically affect whether you get a 2021 vs a 2022, no matter your reservation date.
This is an unfortunate reality i was trying to bring up a short bit ago but was shit on for it. This date memo is a bit of a joke and laughable, because as it stands, reality could have a drastically different view based on the allocation plan. while yes fulfilling orders based on their order...
We have been reading and following. we are customers ourselves toward the bronco. You got overly defensive right out the get go on initial FACTUAL statements that Ford has provided. Were laughing because of your abrasive approach of shooting down
This is what I was getting at.
And you arent quite entirely correct either. Yes to an extent, but dealer allocation will 1000% be a big factor, hence my whole point of my statement in the first place. im not dogging on any dealer, or anyone for how they are doing things. Allocation, supply constraints, ect will all be...
