New today- the snakeskin texture is now very visible on the middle panel. This has changed since yesterday. It's been in the cool garage since last night so it doesn't appear to be heat or sun related. FWIW, the snakeskin on my clamshell first appeared in the sun after sitting outside.
I've had...
They're addressing them and shipping them out ASAP.
They can't just pull all incoming MICs for replacing these because of the domino effect on production, so they pull what they can and move them out. This week of shutdown will provide more than enough roof inventory to get these builds resolved.
Shipping and post-production resolution will continue. Only units needing repair by the body shop (very rare) would be stuck there because of the shutdown.
It's becoming obvious that the design was ambitious and difficult to produce with reliable quality. A severely constrained window to test units off the new tooling and new factory with new staff prior to launch was a magnifying glass on the problems.
Webasto's refusal to address the toxic...
The gift that keeps on giving. New today I have the "snakeskin" texture on both sides of my clamshell and signs of delamination all the way down the drivers side rear clamshell seam. There is also a dark rubberized vinyl streak that has obviously peeled off from somewhere clinging to the top of...
I'd expect yours was likely bumped by roof availability. I believe the plan is to blend these back in ASAP (hopefully August) but can't say anything for sure until the roof situation is stabilized... again.
For summer / fall season we start drumline conditioning in early March. The kids start every clinic with 1.5 miles on the track, stopping for a circuit of push ups and sit ups every half lap. Additionally, after lap 3 and lap 6 we stop and do a full core-focused yoga regimen of planking...
Units held for roof inspection (and possible replacement) will be released as they're addressed. The batching holds are done, so I expect movement soon. I don't know if there will be a separate communication until/if they decide to change the current course of action on the MIC units. As of now...
So many of you have reached out offering thanks, gifts, and booze to me, but that's not why I'm here.
For those of you looking to show thanks with gifts, I'd ask that you consider making a donation to our Watkins Memorial Band Boosters organization (a 501c3 nonprofit) that supports the...

Sorry if I missed it (or didn't get back to you), I'm trying to (and failing miserably at)answering whatever questions I can.
I haven't taken the clamshell off yet but after staring at it for a day it looks like the warping / waving of the horizontal ledge around the mount points might...
You all are too kind. I enjoy being a part of this community and hopefully the bits of info I'm able to get ahold of help those of you waiting understand what's going on.
Tomorrow morning a buddy and I are popping the top and carving an all-back roads route from here to Lake Erie for a day at...
Correct. Last I was told was that "the ink was drying" on the contract 3 weeks ago or so. I'm a bit surprised no specifics have been leaked out. Webasto has lost the contract for the MOD tops.
