  1. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

In all honesty, FE reservation holders are the only ones who should feel super confident about much of anything at this point. You're good.
  2. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

While I have your attention (and while the Band Camp jokes are going strong!)... our program's new Premier drums (example below) are DONE and will leave the factory tomorrow or Wednesday. My company, Musick Limited - Premier USA, is providing these drums at cost and I'm personally covering all...
  3. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

They're back to building more Rangers than Broncos as of this morning, so less impact to assembly staff than it could have been.
  4. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

Several weeks ago I was assured the backlog was going to be inspected and largely cleared during the week of shutdown. Some were, but the rest are still sitting... and all I hear are crickets.
  5. Bronco production update 8/9: Commodity issues far beyond MIC tops. Chip shortage reaches Bronco supply chain (NO COVID TALK)

Hey guys, I'm alive and well. I taught our band camp last week, 14 hours a day Mon-Fri. I was quite busy. A blacked out Transit didn't abduct me in the middle of the night or anything. Things are not great. Commodity issues far beyond the MIC tops have exploded, the chip shortage has finally...
  6. Bronco production update 8/3: More downtime expected weeks of 8/16 and/or 8/23

The train may be officially coming off the tracks. Looks like there will be more downtime the week of 8/16 and/or 8/23. In the spirit of tempering expectations, I'd anticipate some of the August production scheule getting blown up. Plant brass meeting this morning.
  7. 8/2 Bronco Scheduling Cancelled - Again!

You have to walk before you can run, and our favorite supplier is just starting to crawl.
  8. [Update 7/30] Ready to roll: MAP readies for "full speed" Bronco production as questions loom

NBF: Nothin' But Florals Seriously though, dealers will receive a pre-delivery notice from the trucking company upon loading (convoy) or a manifest from the shipping company (rail). I'm sure that these don't always filter down to the sales folks, because 99.5% of the time nobody gives a hoot.
  9. [Update 7/30] Ready to roll: MAP readies for "full speed" Bronco production as questions loom

LOTS of questions here, I'm sorry that I can't get to all of them. Some notes: - The 550 per shift total production target doesn't mean they'll be producing that many every available day from now thru December. We aren't going to see 65,000(or 55,000, or even 45,000) MY21 Broncos... and if we...
  10. [Update 7/30] Ready to roll: MAP readies for "full speed" Bronco production as questions loom

Nobody reported anything wrong. Is response to the issues, an additional facility was being considered. That facility - as stated in the article you linked - wouldn't be on line until at least 2022 and in any event is likely referencing investment in the new supplier for painted MOD tops...
  11. [Update 7/30] Ready to roll: MAP readies for "full speed" Bronco production as questions loom

Saturday production scheduling appears to begin on the 21st, so your rig will be built by the energetic hands of an OT MAP crew. 🍻
  12. [Update 7/30] Ready to roll: MAP readies for "full speed" Bronco production as questions loom

I was told to expect normal scheduling to begin next week, but that was 2 weeks ago and the situation still seems fluid.
  13. [Update 7/30] Ready to roll: MAP readies for "full speed" Bronco production as questions loom

Misalignment of the top when installed or abend in the framing after installation. No direct connection to MAP, just a well-sourced guy.
  14. [Update 7/30] Ready to roll: MAP readies for "full speed" Bronco production as questions loom

Update 7/30: Some notes: - The 550 per shift total production target doesn't mean they'll be producing that many every available day from now thru December. We aren't going to see 65,000(or 55,000, or even 45,000) MY21 Broncos... and if we did there would be a HUGE number of soft top stock...
  15. No Bronco Scheduling Week of 7/26

Micro v. Macro. They absolutely will be working to address and clear the backlog of already produced units. Questions still need to be answered before they want to add even more units into available production slots.
  16. No Bronco Scheduling Week of 7/26

More questions than answers, though I guess that isn't saying much. There was supposed to be scheduling this week, but now there won't be. Issues remain with no clear solutions. The trucks are amazing, the few issues are maddening. And addressing these amid a sustained supply chain mess...
  17. [Updated 7/20] Early Delivered Bronco MIC Top Developing Honeycomb / Snakeskin Pattern

I'd give it a couple weeks, there definitely are signs that a program is being formed. The issues are serious enough and obviously widespread enough that a simple dealer warranty ticket system isn't going to work. If I had to guess, I think it's almost certain that we're looking at a...
