I really like my 4dr non-SAS hardtop Badlands, and since it was my first truck, first "convertible," and first new purchase I think it is entirely worth it. The Wrangler is the gold-standard of this segment, which consists of maybe a half-dozen serious competitors, and only the Bronco goes as...
^ Agreed, I used 87 for the first thousand miles since I could, its cheaper, and was winter. I've been using 93 for the past month or two and its absolutely a better-driving, more powerful engine.
I average right around 18.7mpg with the 7MT and RWD on my non-SAS, but have gotten low 19s on a few tanks. My goal is a regular 20mpg, and I have a few ideas to make that happen, I might force myself to start using Eco to see if it actually helps. I'd also love to see what an axle-back...
I've been wondering if Ford is going to offer something like that eventually, it seems like a lot of the cluster screen is unused and could be made to display a lot more info. Its all in the CAN, somewhere...
I found my Badlands for MSRP and still kinda can't believe it, and love having the manual. Sure, the grinding sucks, but its a big-ass truck with a manual that is better than those in a lot of "enthusiast cars" so it ain't that bad. Once its fixed I won't have any complaints about anything else...
I want to get a middle panel bag so I can store all 3 sections, and maybe go nuts and remove the rear window. I want to remove the rear section but don't trust the material and my storage abilities, so JUST the rear section with the flow-through would be pretty great.
A power rear window would...
I'm eating this stuff up! I don't know if I'll go snorkel or not but hot-damn I love when people raid an OEM's parts bin, OEM+ is and will always be cool
I've seen quite a few "dual exhausts" that used an electronic cutout to split between a straight pipe outlet or a muffled outlet.
For instance, on the Thermal exhaust below, you would cut the muffler off right around the rear hanger area, install the cutout there and have the straight pipe...
Lots of good thoughts here! I know there are other things to spend money on, its mostly being torn on the future need/ability, though I'd certainly try using it.
I'm fine with getting a license, and I tend to troll until I find a good deal, so the investment of it doesn't bother me. I have seen...
This makes me want to buy the engine bay parts, flip the intake tube over so the draw would be from in the engine bay, and hook it to the scoop on an ADV hood 😈
