This is exciting because it is a proper SUV, but the size, mileage, and pricing means the Venn diagram of cross-shopping this with a Bronco is pretty small. The Toyotas should be closer to the same ballpark, so I'm looking forward to those.
I take back what I said, a little, I think the bronze phone dials with the bronze letters and emblem could look pretty damn good on my Shadow black. I want to like the 1785 since I love snowflake wheels, but they're too busy/overdone.
Also, here is the black version of the phone dials...
^ Thanks for the black
I'll have to see some real pictures, they look kinda bro-ish to me, if they didn't have the silver lips I think I'd like them better.
Just read through this thread again, my MT88 is waiting on parts, once its updated and I get some miles under it I'm basically guaranteed to get this done through my dealer.
Follow-up question: Has anyone noticed how the tune affected their clutch?
That's...not ram air. Ram air uses a scoop to force air into the intake when the vehicle is moving. That hood has a heat extractor, specifically because it uses back-facing, recessed vents, which promote a low pressure area and help pull air through the engine bay to cool it down.
ADV hood...
While the freezing part can be true, they are also actually useful and effective. A big problem surrounding catch cans are that a lot of setups are cheap-ass, use undersized or incorrect parts, or don't get set up correctly. A lot of them are too small, but then good setups are usually...
I wouldn't use sealer on the threads, but if you really want to use some I'd use a very thin line on the edge of the plug head. Tighten the plug almost all the way in, apply the small amount of sealer all the way around, and fully tighten it; the idea is to keep it away from the threads and...
I would expect break-in to take longer, with a thousand miles being a better mileage. At the 500 mile mark it will have surfaced the flywheel, mated the disc and FW faces, and given the springs time to settle, but you want to get more "regular" driving cycles into it before you really start to...
I'm supposed to go in this week for the TSB after getting it evaluated in December, but plan to call the parts guy tomorrow. I'll specifically cite the info on this page about the E and AB part numbers, thank you so much everyone! I'm at 6200 miles and want this to be one-and-done, I hope.
They...
My front lighting - Hella 500 Black Magic on SPV brackets, and Hella 2.7 Cube foglights on JCR brackets. I've got Lamin-X on both, clear on the 500s and yellow on the Cubes. I just love the look of them so much, especially the 500s
I appreciate the continued replies, and I do plan to get one before we go on our road trip later this year. I'll probably go with an in-dash install and have 1-2 handhelds, and have the feeling a few friends might like them since they probably should've bought them years ago.
Added the Cactus Gray StickerFab decals to the dash and grille, though it is hard to tell there is any color.
This looks a lot more "finished" that just the all-gray dash:
Cactus Gray B, stock white R
Finished!
I use 4A a lot in my non-SAS, and I'd be bothered if I didn't have it, since it really adds a feature instead of just apeing something. I mean, with the Advanced drivetrain you have RWD, 4WD Hi/Lo, and AWD, which covers any situation you will encounter. The AWD gives extra grip in crappy weather...
