Simple fix; remove the head unit of the winch and relocate it on the radiator bracket with some 1/8" steel strap. It is a common mod in the Tacoma forums.

Yep, I refuse to be one of the flock. It is what it is. Unfortunately the truth hurts and Ford has screwed the pooch. It is not about bitching, it is about exposing issues in hopes that Ford will fix the problem. Why are we even on this forum? It is not all bitching....
I will agree with you on the Big Bend or Base, but not the rest of the line. I recommend that if you doubt me go to the Ford B&P and build a F150 XL, XLT and Lariat and you will note you only pay for it in the XL. Oh yeah, Ford is charging much more for the 2.7 in the Bronco too. Ford is getting...
It is FUBAR! You would think a company as large as Ford could not put one or two programmers on the Bronco B&P project and solve it within a week. Either Ford leadership is stupid or incompetent.
The thing is if you look at the F150 $1195 cost on the base (XL) and on the Supercrew it is included zero cost for the 2.7. So with the $1895 for the 2.7 it looks feasible to have the auto included.
