  1. What the hell is Ford doing?

I have a few points: First, cars on average do last longer now than in the 60s and 70s. The advancement in technology of fluid additives alone is partially responsible, but with all the sensors on modern vehicles you have much better control over those systems. Yes mechanics need to be much...
  2. What the hell is Ford doing?

@mods I described "someone in power" using the color of a fruit and I get my post deleted but some guy on here was telling me I prob beat my wife and kids, talked about how he was gonna try and F my wife and that's ok??? Soft man, really soft.
  3. Anyone else experiencing this New Gremlin?

It happens to me all of the time. I only work a mile away from home, that doesn't give my battery a lot of time to charge while driving. Every few months I have to connect my battery charger and top it off. It could also mean you have a bad battery.
  4. ADVICE ON THIS SETUP FOR 37s!

Nope on the coilovers from RC. Much like other people, I'm picky what I use from RC. They make some decent stuff, don't get me wrong, but if you look at their coilovers vs anybody else, "cheap" is definitely obvious. If you're looking at affordable but still pretty good, pick up an Eibach 2.0...
  5. So many posts about MIC tops with stress cracks, anyone out there have an older Bronco without cracks?

2021, MIC 2.0, never garage kept, I do use the touchless automatic car wash. No cracks. I did get the center panel replaced back in 22. It had a thin spot on an edge and wind got in and caused it to de-laminate. Other than that, no issues. I was in the first couple of weeks of production...
  6. Mabett Giveaway: Bronco and Pets, Let’s Hit the Road! 🐾

Started out dry but it ended up being a pretty rainy day at Windrock. Allison wasn't very happy in the second pic, but Teddy was. I'm pretty sure he stayed drier than the rest of us, just hanging out under Bianca's poncho.
  7. Bronco Crash into restaurant

I wonder how old the driver was, my guess: 16 or 72. Honestly this should NEVER happen in a modern vehicle. Keep your damn foot on the brake pedal until you see the reverse camera on the screen and check it (then check the mirrors). Simple.
  8. MIC 2.0 Repair- is it possible?

Looks really good, great job! Super glad you're happy with the result. So it's a gel coat filler, if you buff and wax it you'll get rid of some of the haze and it will look darker. Love to see the forum working like it should, helping other people out. Seems like we all get into argue mode a...
  9. MIC 2.0 Repair- is it possible?

So for the epoxy to fully adhere to the polyoxymethylene of the MIC top, you will need to clean then prep the surface with an adhesion primer like this. It probably would have been fine with the texture, but this will give you the best results. LLPT 94 Adhesion Promoter 2 Pack 18ml Each Bottle...
  10. Annoying 😡 - when rear seats are folded down (2 dr), it prevents front seats from adjusting all the way back

Even with a custom platform in the back of a 4-door "for camping", parking isn't comfortable for this 40 year old... Fun for a while, but when you forget to hydrate enough and you're old and in a small space, you end up with leg cramps.
  11. MIC 2.0 Repair- is it possible?

Do lots of testing. I'd even do different tests to try and match the texture. Just mix some up and spread it over cardboard or something, then wait for it do set a bit then press some rough sandpaper down on it to put in a texture. Test at different setup times to get it just right. I think...
  12. MIC 2.0 Repair- is it possible?

It's epoxy gel, it will stick to and seal pretty much anything rigid.
  13. Annoying 😡 - when rear seats are folded down (2 dr), it prevents front seats from adjusting all the way back

Sure they could have over-engineered everything but that costs money. Capitalism my friend. They absolutely knew going in that the 2-door was going to be a much less popular option (based on Jeep sales numbers). They likely had a strict budgets based on cost points they wanted to meet...
  14. MIC 2.0 Repair- is it possible?

This is what I would do: First, it's on the top of your rig so it isn't something you're gonna see all of the time, so I wouldn't worry about spending a thousand dollars fixing it. Get a magic eraser or something and clean up the scuffs. Get a marine epoxy repair kit and fill the hole to seal...
  15. Annoying 😡 - when rear seats are folded down (2 dr), it prevents front seats from adjusting all the way back

It's not bad engineering, it's comprise. Would you want even less cargo space in the rear while the seats are up? The fact of the matter is that it's NOT a Full Size Bronco like 78-96, there are room constrains, especially in a 2 door. What makes the most sense for the them to comprise...
  16. Annoying 😡 - when rear seats are folded down (2 dr), it prevents front seats from adjusting all the way back

You apparently don't realize that there are things under the Bronco (4x4) that are not there on a front wheel drive mommy-van.........
  17. 5" inch lift?

Ya that's sad for sure. I get that most people can't even change their own oil, BUT driving 800 miles for service due to a factory defect is silly. Seems like they could have shipped out a set of outers then flown someone out to install them for cheaper than you towing your rig 800 miles or...
  18. 5" inch lift?

If there's one thing in life I'm good at, it's takin stuff apart and putting it back together. One time I rebuilt an automatic transmission (that was actually bad, sit too long) and apparently I liked doing it SOOOOO much that I dropped it and took it apart and put it back together 2 additional...
