Wouldn't say the Market rejected it. They are about to sell 80k Gladiators this year. That's solid sales when you realize the Wranglers sell 150-160k a year. That's also the 4th best model sales for Jeep behind the Wrangler (160k), Grand Cherokee (150k), and Cherokee (90k). Pretty sure Jeep is...
I agree. Even stock Rubicon's and Moab's look horrendously bad. But a decked out lifted Gladiator with upgraded bumpers, tires, wheels, bed racks, etc... can look amazing. You just have to spend $30k after buying your $50k vehicle.
I think we use off road vehicles in different manners. 100% agree for rock crawling 2 doors are the way to go. Shorten that wheelbase, get awesome breakover angles, and wreck house. Desert and dune running can be far better on a longer wheelbase with more stability especially when your turning...
I would say that Gladiators make fantastic overland rigs. They are not gonna keep up with rock crawling but they are solid rigs and can hold a ton more than a Wrangler or Bronco can when you are overlanding. Now of course they are ugly (Until you upgrade the hell out of them and then they can...
We had an event with a 2 door and 4 door showing up at the dealer we ordered from on December 1st. Got cancelled by Ford and moved to Q1 but we're told now we will be able to ride in them now instead of just looking. Unfortunately its now past our order timeframe.
A Sasquatch was measured somewhere around 21.5" to the floor to get in the front seat. so your looking around 18" for the regular height. A normal SUV height is closer to 14". So its considerably higher.
The reservation is/was refundable. The reason for them to take a deposit is to guarantee the sale. I'm pretty sure if they 100% do take a deposit, it will not be refundable. I know that's crappy but the dealerships will be penalized for actual orders not turned into sales. Ford stated that as...
This is the email we all got from Ford in early October:
Within that week all of us who ordered from our dealership got an email discussing next steps and saying they planned to charge no extra deposit but Ford was requiring them to take a $500 deposit at the time of order. I'm fine with it...
I know we've basically settled on GVWR being the issue behind roof racks and squatches. What about the SD Headliner or the brush guard not being addable with the 2.7L engine selected? Bug or feature? A standard SD headliner (Hot Heads or any others) weighs less than 25 pounds. That cannot be a...
I think your giving them more respect then they deserve lol. Far more likely one of the rockstars missed a flag in the code that displays the 4 door colorizer. LOL.
