I just had this convo with someone else in another thread. A sway bar disconnect can not give you more travel. It allows the wheels to articulate more by not being connected.
The travel comes from the suspension being lifted and longer travel than base.
Yeah they qualify it with “side to side” travel. That could be confusing. But yes more articulation definitely.
The original question was whether all Sasquatch packages will have limited travel or just the ones that have the disconnect. I believe that all will be limited because of the tire...
It Doesn’t say anything about allowing more travel in that link you sent. Like I said the travel comes from the shock. The sway bar disconnects in the middle how would that give more travel? It gives more flex and twist just like the article says. But that is flex and twist independent from each...
There are a bunch of misprints on the site. It also says you can add lockers as an option but they come standard on the trim.
You could need an extra half inch for 35’s to clear on the badlands.
but the badlands has the most suspension travel of any trim.I think it was like 1.2” more travel...
The Sasquatch is 1.4 inches taller than the Badlands. That’s not tall enough to have an extra lift over the gains in tire. Unless it’s a 0.5” spacer all around on the Sasquatch.
My guess would be that the stock suspension can fit up to 32s. The badlands suspension looks to be the same suspension as the Sasquatch and it is needed to fit 33-35’s.
The guy you quoted was probably right. The disconnect should have nothing to do with the Sasquatch package’s limited travel.
The sway bar disconnect doesn’t allow more travel. It allows more flexing. The shocks are what allows more travel.
Imagine going high speed through whoops. The 33...
33s to 35s would be one inch of ground clearance. Yes the tires are 2 inches bigger but you have to imagine a tire doesn’t get its height all on one side.
if you drew a line through a tire and the wheel hub you would have one extra inch on the bottom and one on the top.
So you started a thread because you said you were tired of people giving out confusing and wrong info and then yours kind of turned into that. Lol
From what we have seen from the head of marketing the suspension is the exact same on the badlands and the Squatch.
It is confirmed that the...
I had a Honda Element. I think it was a 2005. Those things were the best. The back seats could fold up out of the way with a flat floor.
I would play shows and my whole bands equipment could fit in the back. A drum set, 2 guitar amps and a bass amp. And these were half stacks not tiny amps...
The purpose of the 37’s is not just lift. It’s gonna make all of your off-road angles better. Approach, breakover, departure etc...
if you are just looking for a higher ride just do a body lift.
I have never owned a manual car so I wasn’t sure if it was common to have it. That’s good to know.
I drive heavy machinery for work so I’m constantly pressing brakes and gas all day at work. I’m hoping with the manual that I don’t have to stress my knees by holding the brakes all of the time on...
Not on the Badlands trim. The only difference is wheels, tires and fenders.
BadlandsMT already comes with the final gearing, upgraded axle, upgraded suspension and front and rear lockers.
I don’t think you have to worry. I haven’t seen any mention of it. I have never driven a manual car with it. Only my motorcycle and it works perfectly every time. I just give a little more gas than I normally would.
Has anyone seen any mention of a hill start assist or a brake hold button? I’m gonna get the manual and it would be a big help if we got it.
I never thought I would need it/want it on a motorcycle and then I got a BMW K1600GTL and it’s like a damn dream being able to press down the front brake...
