Because mud gets into every little crack and crevice that it can. Mud wreaks havoc on literally everything underneath. When I took my xj mudding a few times, it was pretty much never the same after. I sure as hell won't be doing that to a new 40k+ Bronco.
The biggest downfall in reliability in XJ's in my experience is 1.) garbage Chrysler electronics and 2.) weak cooling system. The steel mechanical bits were all quite fine, it was the electronics powering them that constantly shit out. Crank sensors, temp sensors, oil level sensors (which were...
We have yet to know how possible it will be to add factory options later...Probably labor intensive, may have to take a lot of things apart. For example, the higher trims have more buttons on the dash row for the electronic swaybar, lockers, etc. so you'd have to swap that out. It's probably...
What's the full story on the rear seats in the 2-door? And when can we order Velocity Blue? Also, why the hell isn't the auto swaybar available for all trims?
I have not put in a reservation and probably will not. I'm holding out for Velocity Blue, but I'm curious how they are handling ADM/X-plan, etc. I went to check out a Velocity Blue F150 at Burdick Ford in Central Square. I went on a Sunday so that there were no salespeople around to hassle me...
A couple of things...
1. I find the UI of this site to be frustrating, slow, and not intuitive. Too many clicks to see what things look like.
2. Me sad that Velocity Blue isn't an option.
3. All of the front bumper options look ugly to me, and most of the wheels for that matter
I managed to find the VB F150 today, here are some pics I took with my beater Smurfadelic Mazda. I've decided as of now, VB is my choice! Pics taken with my Galaxy S10e
Velocity Blue seems like the color for me, so I plan to wait for that one. But I haven't seen it in person yet....my nearby dealership appears to have a VB F150 in stock, so i might swing over there and check it out tomorrow.
Nothing wrong with tracking financial goals - however it works for you, do it! This spreadsheet is a little obnoxious though, IMO, I'd get a migraine trying to figure this out. I simply budget my money using YNAB (You Need A Budget). But it's a lot of work too. I got BRONCO as a goal on there...
Offering it "as an option" makes absolutely zero sense. It shouldn't need to be an option. The seat in my XJ was a two-piece bench seat, and both parts popped out easily without tools. It wasn't overly engineered and nothing crazy, there is no way this would be a waste of time for...
That sounds fairly decent. My big thing is that it has to be warm white, not cool white. Probably won't mess around with colors too much, but red would probably be a nice option. Depending on pricing, I doubt I'd pay Ford's markup for it though when I can do a nice DIY install on my own.
Does anyone know any details of what the ambient light option might look like? I'm sure it's probably LEDs, just wondering if there would be color choices, etc. I've done my own LED wiring on several vehicle interiors that all came out great. Just thinking about whether it's worth it to get the...
100% Two-door for me. Just me and the future wife, and a cat. Maybe a baby within the next 10 yr or so, but I'm not concerned. If I need more cargo space, i'll hook up a small trailer. Will prob have something like that for camping eventually anyways.
Are there any photos or other evidence of this? I have not seen any good photos yet at all of the rear seats or cargo area really on the 2door. I too am hoping for easy removal, this is a no brainer. Ford should make the seats easily removable like they have done with the flares, bumper etc...
