Price Protection covers the extra for the Modular Bumper upgrade even if you don't choose to get it. For 2-door Black Diamond, new base is $400 more plus $575 for upgrade to modular bumper = $975 more which is the amount of the price protection certificate from Ford for that version.

2021 Black Diamond $36,050 2022 Black Diamond $36,450 + $575 for Heavy-Duty Modular Bumper = $37,025 - $975 price protection cert = $36,050
