I've been hounding them for a couple months, just "coming soon." Black on black for me. I like how their install brackets work - better than anything else I've seen.
I used premium to start, tried a tank or two of 87, thought it felt a touch more sluggish so back up to premium. I spend most of my days at 7,000' or higher, which shouldn't matter for a turbo engine (and may actually help from what I understand.) But I did notice a subtle difference with the...
This all makes sense. The service manager told me today that he saw two revisions to the part number when he put in the order for the replacement engine. Interestingly, he also said that Ford told him to order a new fuel pump. Has anyone else with a failed engine also had their fuel pump replaced?
I recently ordered the mid-panel bag (VM2DZ54502H07B) for my 4dr FE and it's a heavy thick leather vs. the canvas material in the bags that came with the Bronco. I guess the mid-panel is a "garage" storage bag since it won't easily fit on board, but still not sure why they didn't include this...
If you're not following the 2.7 blown engine thread...
Heard back from my service manager today. He confirmed that cylinder 2 has no compression, so I have the dreaded failed valve. Waiting to hear back from Ford but he assumes and is pushing for a full engine replacement. He said there were...
Ford knows something is/was wrong. Apparently there is a new part number for the assembly, which I assume means they changed something? Not happy that I have a failed engine but I'll have to hope that the replacement is "better" and solid and I won't need to worry about it happening again.
Service department called me today and said that cylinder 2 has no compression. They are waiting for Ford to tell them what to do next - dig further or replace the engine. No ETA on anything. Guess I'll be calling Ford to let them know.
2551 miles on it when it failed on 2/14.
I know, I hadn't done it previously and then didn't think of it in the moment. Will see if I'm able to get in there or have the service department snap a pic.
Crandall (now Karl Malone) Ford in Park City. They've been great to work with but they are a smaller dealer and I imagine this is their first Bronco tow job.
My FE brothers and sisters, I think my engine may have croaked today. Still waiting for the dealer to look at it. I was driving this morning maybe 30 mph when all of a sudden I thought I heard some clicking noises from the engine, power drops, was barely able to pull over, engine dead. Only...
Well, you might need to add me to the list. Still waiting for the dealer to look at it. Today I was driving, maybe 30 mph when all of a sudden I thought I heard some clicking noises from the engine, power drops and was barely able to pull over, then engine dead. Only warning lights I got were a...
I heard back from Roger at BadAss and they posted the pics for the 4 door rear short roof rack:
https://badasstents.com/product/2021-22-ford-bronco-4-door-rear-only-short-roof-rack-for-hardtop/
Seems like this could be great for ski racks and things like that.
My kids just bought me this and they surely will regret doing so.
If I understand the install as detailed in this thread, to hook it up to say Aux 6, I need:
- butt connectors
- wire/terminal connectors to the battery
- an inline 5 amp fuse
- some grease
Anything else? Protective sleeves for...
