The finance guy ALWAYS brags to you how āWe donāt really make any money on this. we price ESP at $100 over our cost. Itās the best deal you can find.ā.
And they are ALWAYS lying. Typically they are around double what you will pay if you shop around.
I bought mine at Grainger...
I donāt get much more than 10 MPG in my 2023 (when towing my overland camper). But I still impress other dudes.
The more things changeā¦the more they stay the same.
I must not be understanding something. From what Iāve read, the biggest PITA to changing ring color is removing the bolts without stripping them. But if you are willing to do thatā¦.then why wouldnāt you just paint/powder coat your current rings?
I donāt know why I would want to buy these.
Yup - just glued the edges. Canāt recall the name of the glue I used - but I do remember specifically buying a package that stated it was for plastics. Iām leaning toward it being a flavor of JB Weld that listed plastics on the package. I remember having to mix 2 agents together.
The...
did not mean to imply that I had it set at 25 MPH. Just that it was active.
My work is on a street with a 25 Mph limit that quickly goes to 35 mph in a couple blocks, followed by 50 mph a few blocks after that. All on the same street.
So I will frequently use the ACC and just set it at 50 or...
Add to this another warning of ātechnology attracting unwanted attentionāā¦
following a cop in a neighborhood with ACC set. We were coming out of a 25MPH zone into a 35MPH zone. He sped up. Bronco speeds up to match his car. He pulls over, lets me pass the gets behind and flips on the lights...
this worked fine for me. but it is trickey. you wouldnāt think such simple instructions could be so easy to make one tiny error onā¦..but it took me like 5 tries to get it right. it was like playing that game āSimonā lol
but⦠in the end, I now keep my 2 factory keys in the safe at home...
I just got this for the first time today. I pulled over unplugged my seven pin connector and plugged it back in. The errors went away. Time will tell if thatās a long-term fix. I suspect just a bad connection in the plug.
Edit: no dice on it being a long-term fix. It did make the error go away...
I have always LOVED the look of windshield mounted light bars. Either LED rectangular bars or KC style round pods. Put them on all my Jeep builds.
But for me - they are really only for looks. Love the look. Hated the wind noise and glare off the hood any time I used them at night.
I...
Not sure if they stopped doing it or if it just got real spotty. I never did get mine (over a year ago now)
I like the idea. But everybody takes their own baby pic when they pick it up at the dealer anyway so I guess not the end of the world.
Also, thereās a thread on here that tried to...
 yeow!! Anger management issues much?
I wasnāt speaking for you. Donāt know you. Donāt wanna know you. And personally donāt give a flyinā f what you do with your screen.
But I do know what you DONāT do with your screenā¦..you do not have any scale on your screen indicating distance...
I want to inject a point Iāve made on a couple of these threads now just so peopleās expectations donāt get too highā¦.
NONE of these services - paid or free - are usable on the dash screen of your Bronco.
Lemmie splainā¦
They all have 2 interfaces. The cool phone/tablet/laptop interface...
Pray you never tow with it LOL. Even this lilā olā thing behind me on the interstate and Iām lucky to see 11 MPG. And thatās only when going downhill with a tailwind.
Yes I know. I installed it. ;)
So Iām guessing you did NOT have to remove the A-pillar bracket to replace the windshield? Because it also protrudes over the edge of the glass. Just not the whole height of the glass top-to-bottom like the snorkel itself does.
Can a Ford tech or somebody with a service manual for the Everglades give us an "expert" ruling on this?
Does the service manual call for removing the snorkel in order to replace an Everglades windshield?
If so, does it call for removing the A-pillar mounting bracket as well? If so, what...
Well thatās good news bad news.
Glad to know I didnāt screw it up.
But if removing the snorkel truly is required for glass replacement - then that is clearly bad news to ALL Everglades owners out there. Especially if glass shops are unwilling to remove it.
Means a 3 step process to...
Added an Everglades snorkel to my WildTrak. Took it into Safelite to have the windshield replaced and they refused to touch it because the snorkel overlaps the glass a little. Told me somebody will have to remove the snorkel first since they donāt do that sort of work.
So this weekend I...
