Regardless the "reason" is, I'm starting to consider a Tundra and turn in my Tacoma since I need the towing capacity. I'd hate to daily drive a Tundra though.
Hi,
With all the details on the higher end trims being shown off publicly (naturally), are there any extensive detailed photos of Black Diamond or lesser trims that (inherently limited to Mid Package and under) ... interested in more details on those than the "saturation" of Badland (+) builds...
Can you take a picture of the top of the dash for BD or lower trim to see if there are connection points for the device rail? Not many pictures of lower trims and less pictures of the dash. Have fun!
I don't consider Black Diamond a "lower end vehicle" or really the full size Bronco in general.
IMHO, it's pretty weaselly to bury safety features in high end packages and in turn also buried in the higher trim levels. It just shows a bit of greed > public safety is all.
I'm in the same boat ... I can't get it on BD and am honestly considering not getting the vehicle just because of this issue. This will be my daily driver and if I'm paying over $40k on a modern vehicle, I need it to have this and don't see justification in the $10k upgrade of BD vs. BL w/Lux...
For myself, it's closer to $10k between BD and BL if I push to get the only Lux item I want (the adaptive CC). I know it's far from a "purist" option, but I consider it a safety option for a daily driver - and I feel (and Ford should feel this exact same way), they shouldn't bury safety items...
The question now becomes (?) if without the lux package, it still has factory mounting provisions for the rail on the other trims without the USB? I wonder if anyone has closeups of the dash for the more "basic" models / packages.
Howdy all, as everyone else has gone into B&P, I can't find anything about if the dash USB is still a thing (much less the dash rail). They were pushing it pretty hard and was a major pro for me so I could add dash cams, GPS, etc. I hope they didn't wipe it clean of that option ... sorry if I...
I blame all the ones that said $6k for Squatch was prefectly cool (even $4,500 is too much I feel). Just kidding, but not really. Good luck to everyone out there.
