Thanks man. They are not trying at all. Some are not even committing to no ADM and xplan.
You'd think there'd be someone in a state full of National Forest and USFS roads and 11 million people who would want to be the Bronco volume king, but it may not be.
Heck, 7 million people just in...
Yeah, we'll see how it goes. I was going to buy an FX4 Ranger in early summer. But, I got so fed up with nitro tires, overprice drop-in bedliners, seat protectants, body rust protectants, window tints, and 699 doc fees, I just said screw it and stayed with my 2011 Jeep.
They'd offer $1k off...
Pugmire has said no markups, and will honor x-plan. Once pricing comes out, I'll talk to them more seriously about it, then make a decision.
Nalley, where I have bought another car, told me they couldn't commit to any pricing, and were not sure they'd honor x-plan.
This is what I am waiting on. I don't see any point in making a dealer change until we know pricing.
I appreciate what you do here, but there doesn't seem to be any urgency to it right now, unless I've missed something.
Johns Mountain doesn't require 4WD to go up to the top of it. Easily doable in a passenger car. I went up with my daughter, and when we got up I said "that's what Jeeps are for". Just then, a Honda minivan with about 9 people in it pulled up, and I had to confess I was in 2WD the whole time.
Do you offroad now, and will you be in the Bronco? I mostly go in the National Forest, with varying levels of difficulty. I only have around 11" of ground clearance, so I don't rock crawl.
There are lots of cool things to see up there - mountain vistas, lakes, trout streams, camp grounds...
When's the last time you really needed a sales guy to walk you through your car anyways. I'll check that cost spreadsheet. I figured I would wait until the build and price comes out, then see how much difference it will make.
sorry, but so what? my Liberty that I drive now pulls a trailer, hauls the dogs, commutes 45 miles each way to work, and gets me through the National Forest.
And, it gets around 14 mpg.
Pugmire in Cartersville said no markups and they would accept x-plan if allowed by Ford. That is who I have. There's one other person on this forum there also.
All of this, or, a guy who is alleged to be a professional at a major corporation in the process of launching a major product line shouldn't make these amateur "mistakes".
