Goodyear is an American company so I go to them first.
I know GY is making OEM tires without "Wrangler" on the outside of the tire, but what about when it's time to replace tires? I can't imagine them stocking a tire just for the Bronco?
Interesting your Highway mpg dropped that much. A taller tire would lower the RPM's on the highway, using less gas. Obviously you're turning a heavier, maybe wider tire, so that would take away from the gains. I would think worst case the MPG would have stayed the same?? Interesting.
Agree, even for buyers in the rust belt. In the winter I eventually turn off the heated seats, but I will run cooled seats the whole trip in the summer. Especially after sport activities.
Great idea. Just need to make the same thing but mounted in the back of the 2 door. I'm hoping I can hold the doors, front top roof panels and the side windows all in the back of a seat folded 2 door, leaving just the rear roof cap.
Despite not having a window frame, I'm guessing the Bronco door, especially the longer door on the 2 door is heavier. I really do like how the 2 door has such a "Coupe" like longer door.
For the 4 door, yes that is true. There is plenty of room for that to happen in a 4 door. There's just no room in the 2 door because the seats sit right on top of the axle.
Here's the 4 door (From page 1). You can see plenty of room and the hinges under the seats. I can't find the 2 door image...
The floor is flat from the rear axle and back. There's just no room to flop the seats into the rear passenger foot well on a 2 door, so they sit on top folded.
That just means you'll need a torx socket wrench instead of pulling a latch. Mine are coming out and staying out if it makes door storage easier on the 2-door
Why do the tires on the 2 door look so narrow? Especially compared to that 4 door?
Edit: Is it just the look of the KO2's and that flat tread pattern making it look wider?
