I was. Completed the install over the weekend. It went pretty smooth, aside from the bushing issues. The programming piece was relatively straightforward, once you get the file onto your ProCal tool.
I agree. In retrospect, I likely wouldn’t take the time to do the bushing. The Hoss 3.0 bushing was a bear to get out, which made me think it would survive much longer than the 2.0. With that said, I had the bushing on hand, and by the time I destroyed the factory bushing, I was pot committed...
Appreciate the detailed video. I did the same install over the weekend and I am extremely pleased with the result.
I did relocate the camera and modified the winch mount such that I moved my parking sensors forward. Both now work flawlessly.
The program never asked me to do that. But Ford Performance pushed a file to my ProCal unit, so that was a unique scenario.
Nevertheless, I have a theory (not proved correct one way or the other) that the program pull for the old rack is for folks who buy the ProCal tool WITHOUT the Tune or who...
The program took maybe 2 minutes to run once I selected the option on the ProCal unit. If I remember, there were 6 segments that had to load.
I removed both tie rods in their entirety, because I had to install a billet housing and driver’s side bushing. With that being said, even without...
The upgraded rack feels better all around. I did not find it harder to steer at any speed. It felt easier to steer and more in control. I am very satisfied with this upgrade.
The RC driver’s side bushing WILL NOT work with the Severe Duty/Hoss 3.0 rack. I found that out the hard way today. Not sure about passenger’s side, as I went with a housing that had a bushing.
I think my situation may be a bit unique.
I keep my Procal unit plugged in all the time to view the gauges. I then plugged the unit into my computer, and when promoted to log into Ford performance using the Rack voucher, I received the same error everyone else did.
I reached out to Ford...

UPDATE:
I finally had time to install the rack. I first ran the Rack Upgrade option on the ProCal with my 2.0 rack plugged in. The upgrade went through with no errors, but once I restarted the car, I had tons of error codes, including a power steering fault.
Then I plugged my...
I can confirm that the KR mount will NOT work with the Mishimoto CAI. I had to relocate my compressor when I switched from the Roush CAI to the Mishimoto CAI.
Update:
While there are not instructions available yet, the Ford Performance engineer told me to do the following once I successfully uploaded the Rack Upgrade file to my ProCal unit:
“You can tell him that once he replaces the rack, he can go ahead and just plug in the pro cal tool and follow...
A Ford Performance engineer did something behind the scenes and now ProCal recognizes and uploads the Rack Upgrade file to my ProCal unit. It looks like you need a voucher to download a .bin file that is separate from the Performance Cal .bin file.
Following up on this. When I connected my ProCal unit to my computer, I used this voucher number when prompted to log into Ford Performance. It gave me an error code that the calibration was not found. I am working with the Ford Performance service guys to see what is going on, but they do...
The rack comes with its own voucher code for ProCal. When I validate it on the FordPerformance site, I now show 2 line items, one for my performance tune and another for the rack.
Do you know which Harbor Freight winch you used? Trying to see what all will fit the APG plate. Also, other than the hole in the bumper, what metal plate did you trim? Thanks!!
