my thoughts are these are pre production rigs stricken with supplier delay issues of several types. these bolts, the lack of proper springs etc. are indication of the issues.
but I do agree those bolts aināt right!
Thanks! Yeah I sent the supplier an email and got no response. But I imagine it will be easy to drive the valves of the hydraulic component easily, and grab some data from CAN bus (4wd Lo engaged, speed under 15mph etc) and switch connect/disconnect modes.
So you could have a Sasquatch base and...
I've done some homework on the factory hydraulic swaybar. As it is a concealed unit (hydraulically speaking), I believe it can be retrofitted to a Bronco fairly easily. I'll probably order one as soon as I take delivery of my truck (base manual sasquatch) and develop the necessary electronic...
Can you send me a PM of the dealer as well? I'm in Florida and I would like to steer away from dishonesty. I'm ok with MSRP, just want a fair deal, but if there's any onset of attitude or price gouging, I'll end up causing a scene. Really don't want to do that...
No experience with these passes, but the point @LandCruiser makes is very true. Vehicle capability is one thing, driver capability another.
like I said, no experience with those passes, but hand my teenage daughter the keys to the WildTrak to complete those passes and she still wonāt make...
Choose with your heart and regret nothing. Congrats on the baby. I have three youngins, they are wonderful. Theyāre a great reason to get an off road capable truck and explore, let them have there first experience behind the wheel on your lap in a few years. Raiseāem right!
you wonāt go wrong...
Whatās your definition of āsafeā?
weāre all working on preliminary spec sheets and speculation. weāre all waiting to get some more concrete info so speculating is getting tough for some.
that said, yeah probably be ok, as I speculate. Whatās the gearing of the OBX? What transmission? what size...
Hereās another taller option, perhaps similar to 35x10.50 specs? Has advertised 11ā section width and 34.3ā height. I have no experience with the MT/R though, and read some conflicting reviews...
Interested to see a comparison of, say, 4Runner TRD Pro and BD or BB with rear locker. They may be equally matched.
also OP,donāt underestimate driving technique. Some people can do some amazing stuff with open diffs. Even though Iām putting my money on the M210, I would not bet against a good...
The front diff that will have the locker is an iron-cased M210, whereas the non-locked will have an aluminum-cased M190. This is based on speculative information I read online, or how I interpret it anyhow.
I'm going to opt for the Sasquatch for many reason, but mostly because of the M210 iron...
ive noticed the same about the control arms. Thereās a video of the Ford team testing at Rubicon (IIRC) and thereās a solid 30 second shot of the LCA as the truck is in motion. It looks like the range of motion is mostly angled greater than 90deg, if you were to measure from a plumb bob dropped...
And aftermarket! from the Godzilla crate engine to EV crate engines...

If you have a chance at a 1996 or 1995 do not let it get away! They were/are imperfect and have character. I see a lot of that with the Bronco too. Simple and rugged, doesnāt need to be extremely capable, just robust.
Ah I wish I could give you a good answer, I could only speculate. I think the BD has 32s and that gear? I may be wrong. If so, I would imagine that would be alright just because itās close to factory specs.
Iām sure someone else could give you good insight.
yes they are E load. They may be more stiff and unforgiving, and thatās fine. Just thinking that the 5lbs per wheel, while rotating, will be easier to stop at speed and be a little easier on the brakes. All speculation on my part though.
man, mine was bulletproof. Never had an issue with it...
