Too late.
I moderate the Bronco subreddits, and needless to say... it's a touchy topic and a gigantic pain in my rear to deal with to be honest.
Some people think the ducks a fun thing to do, ducks with horse-like attributes in particular are somewhat common. Other people hate the ducks, but...
Depends which Mazda tool you have, but most likely... yes.
For a long time Ford owned around ≈30% of Mazda, so a lot of technology, tooling, etc. was shared between the two companies. That's no longer the case, so if you are using Mazda's newest tool (think it's called a Denso?) it may not...
On 2023s, the wiring is there even if you don't have a subwoofer. But it is not turned on unless you have a subwoofer installed.
So two options:
1. Steal from the kick panels like 2021-2022 owners need to do.
2. Turn on the subwoofer output via software (ie. Forscan) and connect your subwoofer...
You can do it yourself with the right equipment. Obviously the key part of that sentence is with the right equipment.
But agree with @CalvinT ... try a different dealer. Helped a guy at my local cars & coffee do an install, and his dealer was willing to do the programming step for $80 as long...
Ahem... I happen to like my niche interest. Don't you dare take my manual transmission away from me.
But no, this makes sense. I am curious if Farley was talking about the Bronco specifically, or more the wider "Bronco brand". Whenever we see press releases it's usually in regards to the...
Yeah I agree.
Obviously Ford did the market research on the Jeep Wrangler, and if you look over there... 4-Door outsells 2-door by approx 8-to-1. So I'm sure they expected very similar numbers on the Bronco.
But if the Bronco came out and 2-Door sales was... say... ≈40% of the market, then I...
Eh, don't think that's the case. If that was, there wouldn't have been any reason to make 2-door available on all of the trims back at launch.
Even at launch, 4-Door was more popular—almost twice as popular based on this forum's stats (I have a feeling actual numbers were closer to 20-25%)...
Concur.
The ONLY reason why I have a 4-door is because I have a family and I don't have the money to buy two SUVs. Which means my Bronco has to cosplay as a family SUV during the week.
In my ideal world, I'd have a 2-Door Bronco for myself, and something like an Explorer for the family. But...
It should be Part No. S2DZ-19H332-A for the 2025-2026 Bronco, but I can't verify.
I don't know if it's sold separately. The 2021-2024 module IS sold separately, but in the past the tow package was a factory-installed component. For the past several model years it has been a dealer-installed...
We were talking about speakers in this thread, not the subwoofer.
If you are installing aftermarket sub you should just use the factory subwoofer wiring (if you have a 2023+. If you have a 2021-2022 Bronco... use the signals from the kick panel speakers.
@Brian_B and others already mentioned a lot of this... but the list:
Wheels and tires, obviously.
Wider fender flares
Available from Ford Racing Parts
Rear bumper trim
Available from your dealer's parts counter
HOSS 2.0 high-clearance suspension
Available from dealer's parts counter
Rear...
If you want to use the factory wiring, then yeah you need the tow module from the Ford kit. The module itself is actually made by a third party supplier called Lumen, but they only sell it through Ford, and no other third party kit exists (that I'm aware of, anyway).
For programming, most...
You need the trailer tow module from the official Ford tow package.
Option B is to use a third party kit/module and splice it into the tail lights, but you'll have to run new wiring. The existing factory wiring won't work. Ford also sells one of those kits, and yes it is cheaper than the full...
There is no strict dependency between the two, but the configurations are different.
And for something like the B&O ACMs specifically, the wiring harness is very different.
Frankly it seems they’ve been making slight tweaks and improvements almost every year since launch.
No major redesigns though. (Not that it really needs one, imo.)
Betcha he confused the 1st and 2nd gen 2.7L engine when he was doing his research. If I remember right, the first gen was direct injection.
Edit: Actually, scratch that. The 1st gen also had a chain-driven oil pump, and he knew it was belt driven.
So... 🤷♂️ . ChatGPT strikes again, probably.
2022 Bronco. Park outside in New England weather since new. No cracks.
(p.s. I wish I had a garage, so if anyone wants to donate to my garage fund... lemme know. No guarentees I won't steal from the garage fund to buy Bronco parts.)
Ah okay. That did doesn't include the cable that goes from the 500.1 itself to the subwoofer.
You'll need to buy these guys:
Motorcraft WPT-1016
Extra wire
Wire crimp
And then wire it similar to how I wired it in this video below. (Starts at roughly 21 minute mark.)
Minor changes all things said.
A-pillar grab handle
New colors, including the ability to mix/match the hard top color
Connectivity packages where you can effectively "pre-purchase" access to the connectivity features rather than paying for it as a subscription.
Removal of garage door opener on...
