After reading some of the threads about different folks swapping ACMs to improve their audio, it made me wonder...

Is the ACM tied to the screen? Could you upgrade from a 8" screen to 12" and not change the ACM? Same in reverse, If I swapped my base ACM for one from a B&O, so I also need to change the screen?

Hoping that some of you have knowledge of the details and understand what all options were offered, and how it all interchanges.

There is no strict dependency between the two, but the configurations are different.

And for something like the B&O ACMs specifically, the wiring harness is very different.

ACM is audio. APIM is screen/Sync. IPC also plays into that some (dashboard)

They are all interconnected but only loosely. As Rag says - B&O is the biggest distinction
