It is what it is. I have been a 4x4 enthusiasts for over 30 years and broken many axle as such I have learned not to full lock. The intent of the post was to see if this was an issue others have had. I am glad to hear it isnt.

I’m glad you did. We won’t know what issues are one-off and which might be systemic without posts like this, so thank you. Let us know what Ford says, and hope you guys back out there soon!

I once bought a brand new Honda XL 250 enduro bike. I had it three days when a front fork burst . I took it back to the dealer. It took them THREE months to get the part and make the repair. And there wasn’t any virus to gum up the production and parts making chain. I made three payments before I got the bike back.

Bad CV joint from the supplier . If all the CV joints snap that easy we would hear about it from the rodeos and demos. I’ve seen plenty of CV joints fail in the first 40 feet off the assembly line.

That's exactly where I would want my Bronco to Break down! Sorry you had the problem.

Specs: 4 door, Badlands, 2.7, lux, tow package .

Issue: Broken front passenger axle at CV joint. Repair was Ford replacement of both front axles. Will take 5 to 10 days to get the parts.

350KM after picking up my dream machine that took a year to arrive, it was on the back end of a tow truck with a broken front right axle heading back to the dealer for repair. The axle broke on a flat loose gravel parking lot at less than 5 km/hr with no load on it , while I was testing out (showing off) the 4 wheel cameras to my better half.

Would love to know what actually broke, I don't see a break in the photo, but you said its at (or in) the CV joint. The Badlands has upgraded parts? On pavement an engaged 4WD system can bind, but gravel provides enough slippage . . . And I've never had one break, ever!.

What 4wd setting/mode/range were you in? Lockers engaged? Would love to know the details!
