About to do my own and would like to know what not to do.
Like I said, my programming all went down without a hitch...and I have the Ford Performance Tune installed which was one of the suspected causes of calibration issues. If you don't have issues downloading the calibration onto the Procal, definitely get under the truck and hook the new rack up and perform the rack programming first.

I don't know, but I also wonder if having the Wildtrak trim might also be a player in the success/problem scenarios since I believe the Raptor rack refit was originally targeted at the WT package. Like maybe having Baja GOAT mode native to the truck might somehow influence the installation or something of that ilk.

In my case, I was just super careful doing everything related to the calibration. Make sure you have all your "as built" data uploaded to the Ford Performance servers, too. Just to be super safe, I'd make sure I'd up load that as built data BEFORE I download the new calibration onto the Procal to ensure there is no computer confusion about what the truck has.

The rack installation itself is a bit of the PITA, but I was able to do it by myself as a fat old man rolling around on his garage floor with the front of the truck up on jack stands. A lift would make it considerably easier.

Maybe it's getting better as we let Ford know issues???
Somebody been smoking something this morning? :)

Well, I bought the rack Dec of '24 with the Procal and tune. I installed my tune pretty shortly after that, and I probably downloaded my calibration a year ago. I have not hooked up my Procal on line since to avoid updates. I've been worried an update is going to eliminate my ASS OFF feature.

A blind squirrel will eventually find a nut, a broken clock is wrong twice a day, Ford Performance eventually, eventually gets their shit together. The last is on faith. âśť

Does anyone else recall being asked the steering rack question during Procal setup?

I just remembered another thing that might be a factor in a successful rack install outcome. I must admit I don't 100% remember, but I swear during my Procal setup a few years ago, I was prompted to indicate the steering rack that my truck was equipped with. Maybe I made that up in my head, but I sure do seem to have a memory of searching on the 6g forum for the part number of the HOSS 2.0 rack. I don't know if that was because I had a Wildtrak and some later '22 production builds included the M-3200-WT rack, if everyone gets asked that question during set-up, or if it was all fantasy, but the wrong answer to that question may set up later problems for the Procal.

I don't believe I was asked that when I installed mine way back. I doubt it's the cause of most of these issues, the majority of them that I have seen are only using the procal at the time of installing the rack. I think it's a minority that already had the procal for the performance tune, and are now installing the rack.

I recall mine asking if I had upgraded the FDU during the laptop download part, but I don’t recall anything about steering
