Big improvement specifically how? ZEN is less power and costs more money.

Improvement for you perhaps as im sure you have a better rep agreement for this product. Just pulling the plug on a product for no real reason is reason enough not to buy from you.
I think there is a huge misunderstanding here.
First and formost, NAV-TV, ZEN Audio and mObridge are all under the same umbrella.
The K2 was discontinued as it has been superseded by the Zen Power9. I was the lead engineer on both, the ZP9 is a completely new product that improves on all the things i learnt over the last 5 years selling the K2.

The ZP9 is better in every single measurable way. For starters, it has more power than the K2 - i am not sure where you read it has less.
ZP9 specs:K2 specs
4 x 150w RMS2 x 150W RMS
4 x 70w RMS6 x 70w RMS
1 x 500w RMS1 x 400w RMS

ZP9 has more power on sub channel and 2 additional high power channels. MORE power.

Further advantages:
- Stronger PSU to allow for additional power and improved stability.
- Proper extruded alloy heatsink as well as fan - this was one of the shortcomings of the K2 in hot climate like Arizona or Texas some people would experience thermal rollback when driving the amp hard with the top down.
- DSP - i don't even know where to begin with this as there is a laundry list of new features and performance advantages here with the ZP9. Pick any DSP function on the K2 and the ZP9 will do it better.
- Accoustic improvement, not only is there more power but the channels themselves have a lower noisefloor and lower THD.

The K2 is a great amp, but it is also 5+ years old. It was time for a new product!

Because of all of these things the ZP9 is a more expensive piece of equipment.
The heatsink alone was a huge cost increase.

Oh yeah they aren't selling the K2 in Australia anymore? Or you aren't distributing it in the US anymore? Amazing that the global product engineer has so much time to be customer facing.

I asked about K2 availability months ago and you said it was sold out but coming back. Meanwhile you were still taking orders thru the site.

Basically this guy likes the marketing from the forum but really only wants to sell to installers.

The K2 is not being produced anymore. if it is listed for sale anywhere in any country it would only be remaining stock.

I dont know what more I can say other than I love chatting to our users on the forums and hearing feedback about our products. We arent apple, we dont have a dedicated "digital marketing manager" I have always liked posting on forums and just happen to be an engineer.

Our dealer network is very important to us yes.

If we had you on the backorder list and I forgot to follow up with you then I apologies, i think a better place to sort this out would be over email.

So the k2 amp has been replaced. The big question is will the new amp be available in kit form like on the Mobridge website with all of the wiring to make form an easy install? That’s what originally peak my interest in your first product. I would buy the amp but I still want the plug and play wiring as well. Will this type of bundle be up on your website anytime soon?

My thoughts....
If the ZenPower 9 DSP is that good, it is probably worth the price. However, it would still be cheaper to get a different A2B, like the PAC Amp Pro, and a good 6 or 8 channel DSP amp even with the plug and play wiring kit. There is flexibility in both options but I think the Zen Audio would save you space if you are happy with what it provides out of the box.

I snagged one of these- too good of a deal. Something that im sure frasier will turn his nose up on but im spending money on my sub, sub amp, and panel damping instead. I don't think people really care about the tuning, they just wanted A2B and and amp in a convenient package. Actually just a sub adder that accounts for roll off would do well.

If a person already has the K2, and wanted to upgrade to the zenpower unit, I'm assuming the power and ground cables could be reused. Would the speaker harness have to be replaced? WIll the new amp mount where the K2 does? Can the cables to the DSP be reused, or will a new harness have to go to the dash?

power and ground can be reused, ACM harness can be reused. you would need a new main amp PNP harness though. If you are considering this let me PM me and ill give you a returning customer discount.
