I got no Raptor that is just a stupid logo need to remove it. I got a Badlands Sasquatch and am thinking about eventually getting Portals. I'm leaning towards the Turn off-road ones as they are much cheaper at 12k for a set of 4. The more I think about it the more I think Portals are a true answer for real ground clearance. Either make a bullet proof Bronco on 35s or go with Portals and 38x13.50r17s which will have more ground clearance than a traditional lift on 42s.

Well my setup give you the most at a cheap price, Personally I would say do what I have. If you need more do portals. (Think how cool that would look) Personally I really love my setup I can do more than 95% of everyone but some stuff is still a challenge. I don't want to spend a full day just riding I need it to be hard every now and then. My center of gravity is super low and still have great clearance.

Actually with the turn portals and 38s, someone would need 48s to match your clearance. Just saying....

Wow even better there you go. The more I'm think about it the more I'm realizing what in the living hell kind of clearance will I get with just a traditional coilover lift kit, UCAs, Rear lower and upper links, and track bar under my rear axle? Not much, plus I'm messing up my CV angles and it is costing me money and no real true gain. I'm not saying it's all bad or anything but just not enough for the money you spend. This is why I think Portals are just the new way to go, and in addition to portals get a nice coilover lift kit. You get the proper ground clearance, regear, and good looks. It's expensive as hell and God only knows how reliable it is, and if the parts will be available long term, but can't beat what they provide. I love the big tire to fender wheel gap and some tire pole rigged look too, so it kind of kills 5 birds with one stone.

I hear you, I know I don't need them and you can absolutely still make it look great without portals, I agree 100%, but I just want those damn portals. You do have a good point about the center of gravity, but at the same time Portals give you the most clearance for the least amount of actual vehicle lift. Like it would give you way more clearance than a Bronco Raptor but the actual vehicle height wouldn't be that much higher as it raises the axle.

Now this is on portals, coil overs and 40s.... I did not tip over but I think I did get to 2 wheels

from the driver's seat.... My spotter was trying to see how far I would go.... He was measuring me...

I have since self spotted through this same obstacle a few times and kept it dramatically flatter.
