I doubt it. With the increased weight of an electric motor, inverter, battery and other peripherals, that increases the curb weight within the GCWR equation.Will the hybrid increase towing capacity?
I personally don't like hybrids because you're carrying the weight of an internal combustion drivetrain PLUS the weight of an electric drivetrain (Honda's system is a bit different). It's far more complex, and challenging to service, with two drive systems squeezed into it, plus the higher expense of two systems.
As Mr. Morizo (Akio Toyoda) says, there's far more we can do with the internal combustion engine.
