I have MIC roof but want a painted roof for a different color and the better construction. It’s hard to find painted roofs (and won’t be the color I want) and wrapping has its problems, so I think I’m going to go the somewhat pricy route of buying it in pieces from the dealer (with all the seals etc.) and having it painted. Has anyone done this? If so I’d appreciate any advice on the process. I need to first get the parts list and find a good paint shop in SoCal.
Thanks

From other posts I have seen about trying to piece together a painted top, you will be money ahead to find one for sale and have it repainted. I believe @Ducati1098 mentioned at one point it being above $10 to buy all of the necessary parts, and that only comes primed! I will be interested to see which way you end up going, good luck!

Yeah it's definitely not going to be cheap at all. I'm curious to see the actual total after paint and everything though if this does happen.

I was curious so I started flipping through the parts catalog online for the 4 door, the front panels, and rear cap unpainted was around $7400. I couldn't find a part # for the middle section, so probably add at least 2k on top of the $7400 to add that. That is without any glass, latches, moldings, weather stripping, or accessories. Just the raw panels. I feel like if you priced this all out from the parts counter, you're going to be easily over 12k before you even paint it.

It’s going to vary from dealer to dealer quite a bit. Just among the dealers here in SoCal i’m finding there’s a wide range of pricing.

I believe the paint-to-match suffixes are -S*PTM (Paint-to-match)

Starting from the back:

Rear Cap: $4,155.20 M2DZ-78502G33-SBPTM - Panel Roof Trim Center 2023-2025 Ford Bronco | Online Ford Parts Catalog

Center Panel: $2582.86 M2DZ-78502G32-SAPTM - Panel Roof Trim Center | Online Ford Parts Catalog

Left Front Panel: $2050.30 M2DZ-7850285-SAPTM - Roof Panel 2023-2025 Ford Bronco | Online Ford Parts Catalog

Right Front Panel: $1,237.49 M2DZ-7850284-SAPTM - Roof Panel 2023-2025 Ford Bronco | Ford OEM Parts Direct

I'd try to save your glass if you can (especially since the rear ingludes the wiper assembly and hinges), it is showing up as backordered. Rear for example:
M2DZ-7842006-G - Glass Back Window 2021-2025 Ford Bronco | Online Ford Parts Catalog

Rear Seal: $150.59 2021-2025 Ford Bronco Roof Panel Weatherstrip M2DZ-78205G45-A | OEM Parts Online

Rear Inner Seal: $84.64 2021-2025 Ford Bronco Roof Panel Weatherstrip M2DZ-78205G61-B | OEM Parts Online

Center Seal: $336.80 2021-2025 Ford Bronco Seal Roof Panel Opening M2DZ-78205G42-C | OEM Parts Online

Right Panel Seal: $40.12 2021-2025 Ford Bronco Roof Panel Weatherstrip M2DZ-7854382-A | OEM Parts Online

Left Panel Seal: $47.18 2021-2025 Ford Bronco Roof Panel Weatherstrip M2DZ-7854382-B | OEM Parts Online

Front Center Seal: $104.07 2021-2025 Ford Bronco Inner Weather-Strip M2DZ-78503A22-B | OEM Parts Online

The new headliner that is used on those 4-door painted tops I could not find

$10,789.25 before shipping & tax, if you're able to re-use your windows. Probably another $1500-$2kish if you had to get all new glass. So yeah, the previous comment's estimate of $12k before paint looks to be a pretty realistic number. All-in I’d just put it at $15k

Oof. Thanks for the info. The parts guy I last got a rough quote from ballparked it at less than half of that. Perhaps dealers have a lot more flexibility with the pricing. I know from buying Bronco stuff in the past the prices are all over the place from dealer to dealer. Will have to put in some legwork. Might shift my approach to repainting a used one.

No problem. Yeah, they most likely do. Obviously they have a better grasp on pricing and even though it's a rough quote surprised if they overshot that by double.
