I somewhat reluctantly allowed my dealer to to the recall replacement on my rear camera. They called me and offered to do it my my driveway, why not? Even though I've read that the outcome could be problematic, and I've never had a issue, I agreed to it. Today, I drove it for the second time since then, guess what, black screen. Hopefully it's still syncing? Next time I'll go with my gut feeling.

BTW, when they had it for months to replace a leaky head, they told me the camera recall was completed. Apparently my service advisor got bad information.

Sorry to rant, frustrated.

Sorry…but what the fuck? Months?

Re: a fix causing other problems. That sucks and I can relate. Haven’t seen my Bronco in 2 and 1/2 weeks because of that. Call Ford, tell them what happened. They’ll open a ticket/case and hopefully expedite an actual fix.

Don't you just hate it when the supposed fix actually creates the issue.

Same thing happened to me with a wiper motor recall on my f150. I knew I was in trouble when I saw the tech using a mallet to try to get the wiper arm reattached.

Which recall was it? I have a recall 26S09 / NHTSA Recall 26V124
This calls for a software update relating to sensing high cabin temperatures.
I have not done the update yet and I'm also reluctant to do it.
