Off to the dealer with my repair list.2025 heritage.
slightly over 4k miles on it. Manual trans. Pretty ridiculous.

1. Throttle stops responding after the engine bogs
  • This has happened twice while driving. Both times, I was slowing down and accidentally selected 4th instead of 2nd, causing the engine to bog below its normal idle speed.
  • I immediately pressed the clutch and shifted into 2nd, then 1st, and pressed the accelerator. There was still no throttle response, and the RPM would not increase.
  • Pressing and patiently holding the clutch causes the engine to automatically cycle off and back on. Throttle response returns immediately after that cycle.
  • I can reproduce it in a controlled area: while moving slowly at about 10 mph, briefly misshift into 4th and let the engine bog. Then shift immediately into 2nd or 1st, to try and recover, there is no throttle response. Patiently Pressing and holding the clutch causes the engine to cycle off and back on, restoring throttle response.
2. Front driveshaft squeak and grease loss
  • There is a rubbery rotational squeak while coasting forward or backward. Braking does not change it. The same noise can be heard when rotating either front wheel while the Bronco is lifted.
  • I traced the noise to the front driveshaft CV joint where it connects to the transfer case. Grease is coming out beneath the large CV-boot clamp and has been flung onto the surrounding area. The inside of the boot appears dry.
3. Front shock appears to be leaking
  • The driver-side front shock is wet around the reservoir-to-shock-body connection. The shock on the other side is dry.
4. Multiple warnings after startup on 07/11/2026
  • When I started the Bronco at Costco, it displayed Hill Start Assist Warning, Antilock Brake Fault, Electronic Parking Brake fault, and Pre-Collision Assist Not Available.
  • The warnings remained after restarting the vehicle several times. They went away after approximately five minutes of driving.
  • The warnings are saved in FordPass.
5. Open recalls

Trust me, it could be a lot worse. We just got rid of our 2022 Wrangler in our 2023 gladiator. And we’ve had at least eight jeeps prior to that over the years. No more jeeps for us.

Circle back and let me know how they did. Curious when they're the only game in town.
I called to have recalls done and they can't get me in till mid December... 👍

Yep, it happens. Sucks, but should all be easily fixed under warranty. 🤠

The big question and safety concern is the throttle cutting out behavior. Hope there’s just a software update or something.

Other than a leaky rear main seal and a fruitless recall, my '23 Wrangler has been bulletproof. Knock on wood.

I don't blame the OP for being frustrated. I know I would be. His Bronco reminds me of my F150....

We had Jeep buy back one of our brand new jeeps and in our case it did take almost 8 months to go through the whole process of them buying it back 100% and then re-order another one. What a pain in the ass that was.

I'll have to let you know how the buyback process goes. After multiple trips to the dealers, and MULTIPLE calls to Ford to get them to fix a vibration, today I just had enough and contacted an attorney. They have already exceeded the days in the shop portion of the NC lemon law, and I have given Ford a chance to fix it, and it's not fixed, but they became unresponsive, so here we go.

I have been through this process. It isnt terrible. Im not sure if its because of the state I reside (MO), but I didnt need an attorney. I contacted ford, submitted the necessary paperwork, and they got the ball rolling. I found out about and inquired about the "cash and keep" option. I was offered an amount of money, the vehicle fixed under warranty, and a ford premium care warranty to 76,000 miles. I took it and a year and change later traded it for a Bronco. No dings on the VIN in OASIS or carfax. Got a great trade-in value. (25 explorer ST)
Process is easy besides the paperwork.
I hope it works out for you.

I actually went thru it before on a 2020 Explorer ST. That vehicle had ALL the problems. I've never had a vehicle with so many things wrong with it, ironically my next new Ford was a 2020 Ranger and I swear that may have been my favorite vehicle ever, it just wasn't quite enough truck for what I needed. I didn't have to get an attorney for that one either, but I'm guessing they're thinking the vibration Im dealing with is "within spec" and don't want to deal with it anymore....it's extremely annoying! My other vehicle is a lifted F-150 on 35x12.5x20's. so I know what off road tires are supposed to feel like. I'll update the group when I get more information. Seems like that's helpful to a few as I go thru it.
