My son and I took it off once for a couple days, and we all liked it so much we just bought the @EZ4X4 lift, for a few reasons.

Nobody in my family is tall enough except he and I to get it off since it is a 3" lift SAS.

He is going off to college.

The Lift is way cheaper than replacing any parts or the top itself.

Takes about 10-12 minutes to open her up all the way front to back.

Only takes one person, and the lift folds up and out of the way.

When we did take it off, we set it carefully on the garage floor, and the little guide pins seemed fragile, basically like if someone walked into it they would break off, and I did not want to play that game. I am not an advertiser for EZ4x4, but the product seemed to be worth the Buy Once cry Once and the item is very solid, and the top is safe from damage.

I bought a cheap winch system off of Amazon and use straps that run the length of the top. Super easy to get on and off. Took a bit of engineering and math on my end as I have 16 ft ceilings in my garage but it works great for storing my top and my roof rack separately.

I am not actually affiliated just a fan but heres the link, and theres a 15% discount code on the site.
I like it because it is movable and I have a 3 car garage, and if I move cars to different bays, the lift can go wherever the car is.
In the winter it can fold up in my case and not be in the way.

Yes, I know you are not affiliated, I was just having fun. But I did go to their website with your link and I am intrigued by all of it and I did see the 15% off which was about $75. Presently I am thinking about it. Thank you again for your reply and the link.

Can two guys easily remove the hard top by themselves or do you need three? I am trying it this weekend for the first time. Thank you.
I'm a somewhat strong 5'7" 125 pound woman, I can lift the front two panels easily, and the second row with a little struggle - not especially heavy, just awkward. Not planning on lifting the back part myself!

I haven't taken mine off yet either. Since I'm in an area of CA where it's been 100 - 110* the last few weeks, I'm probably going to wait until September when it cools off a bit to try this.

I'm 6' and have a 17yo son that is 6' 2". So I plan to have him help me. Probably time the first top removal with purchasing an Alien shade so I don't fry my bald head lol. Plus skin cancer in my family, so don't want direct sunlight.

Two people can do it without any problem. The top is more awkward than it is heavy. Just take your time, have one person on each side, and lift it straight up before walking it back. If it's your first time, an extra set of hands doesn't hurt, but it's definitely doable with two.

The most difficult part will be getting him to put down the PS5 controller for a few minutes. I'll probably have to bribe him with a cheeseburger.

Sounds familiar! We went to In N' Out Saturday night. I get a single. He gets a 4X4 (4 patties) fries and a milk shake.

Yes. I’ve even done it by myself in a pinch before I had a Toplift Pro. But I am also a goddamn sexual tyrannosaurus…

My knees hurt just watching the video.
Well damn...I wasn't aware there were two upper bolts to undo...That would certainly explain why I couldn't get mine off. Those brackets are definitely bent then, because I gave it a few tries thinking it was just the gasket release and weight I was fighting. 😅
