I'm in the south of Switzerland, Ticino.
The photo was taken behind the Castle of Sasso Corbaro in Bellinzona.

I don’t really know yet, but for me having a “rare” vehicle is definitely a big plus.

Unfortunately, off-roading and overlanding are not really possible here, too many restrictions of every kind. So to have some fun I’ll mainly have to visit neighboring countries like Italy (very close to me), France, Spain, Greece… or maybe even Morocco or Tunisia for some desert fun.
Nice! I have family in Lugano... wish I could get my Bronco out there for some hill climbing! With any luck I'll be making a trip to Jordan with my cousin over there for some desert action in a couple years....

Buon viaggio!

Went on the first real trip with the Bronco.

First stop was the Champagne region in France, where we drove through the vineyards around Montagne de Reims. Very easy trails, but really panoramic.

After that, we spent 8 days in northern France, in Normandy, between beautiful beach sunsets, endless fields, and WWII historic places.

We did about 3,200 km / 2,000 miles. The Bronco was okay on the highway: a lot of noise, but better handling than you would expect and decently comfortable seats. On secondary roads it’s beautiful and fun to drive, and on gravel or off-road trails I just can’t stop smiling.

On long trips we managed around 11.5 L/100 km / 20.5 MPG, while in normal use we are closer to 13.5 L/100 km / 18 MPG.

Great pictures!

I was just coming back form the alps, region Bardonecchia/Oulx which is located nearby Italian/French Border.
Have done some great tours. In that area there are some really nice paths - not very heavy, but the view and the area are so beautiful. There is an official map from tourism office.

Col de Sommeiler - goes up to 3050 meters, highest with car - legally - accessible road in the alps. Still some snow around while down in the valley 30 degrees+

Very pretty. A lot of that is reminiscent of the San Juans in southwest Colorado.

I'm on 39 PSI (onroad) and with the lightest foot. Also doing 110-120 max on highways. Also on ECO mode.

Soon I'll get tired of looking at the consumption and things will get worse

Makes sense. Fuel is probably better quality than hih ethanol content forced on Canadians that kills fuel.economy and increases gas tax earnings with higher volumes.

Small update: the Bronco is now at the body shop for a full Stealth PPF (xpel).

We are also considering repainting the grille while it’s there. Still deciding between keeping the original color or going for something darker (Dark Grey similar to fender flares or black) to better match the matte black look.
