My dad just picked up a super clean used hard top to replace my damaged top from my wreck at UBB in February.

He needs to store it for 5 months until it comes out to AZ from Michigan.

What is the best way to store vertically without a specific rack, but not be a big waste of floor space? Thinking just up on 4x4 blocks to keep it off of any seals with panels stored flat on top of rear window, with open side leaning against a wall.

Should a strap or something be used to keep it from relaxing/opening on the bottom?

It may be fine like that, but you could also run two 4x4s latitudinally and aligned with the locator pins. Then, drill through a couple of 2x4 shims screwed to the 4x4s and set it down on all four pucks with the locator pins inside the drilled holes. That will keep it from spreading at the base under the weight of the Michigan snow that'll be there in 5 months.

I just lean mine up against the wall and it rests on the two metal brackets at the front.

Can it be stored upside down on a blanket for 6 months?

Block it up to get the pins off the ground, then use it as a coffee table to maximize usefulness of the space it takes up
