2 door hard top storage question

I just got my 2 door Heritage. Looking to take the top off this week. When I remove the back section, do I have to set it down as it would be on the Bronco or can I stand it up on end, with the rear window facing up? I have room in my garage and I was planning to put a soft pad down on the floor and rest it on that. It would take up less room standing on end. Wondering what you guys have done.

I was wondering the exact same thing. I plan on purchasing a soft top at some point and swapping seasonally. It would be easier for me to store my hard top vertically. I was thinking about building a platform on caster wheels so I can roll it around as needed.
Would like to hear if anyone has done this.
