Washer Fluid Leak - Front Wheel Well [2021 4 Dr Badlands]

Car went to the dealer for some recalls and a works package. Got it back with the washer fluid bone dry. Went to top it off and now it's all leaked our also. Needless to say, a tad disappointed. Obviously there is a flaw in design if there are this many with problems.

Yea, mine is leaking all over, might disassemble this weekend and try and see what the problem is. I do have the extended warranty so hopefully this applies if something is wrong

Know the extended warranty has a deductible.

Same problem, 2021 Outer Banks, drove it for over a year with no washer fluid just because I kept telling myself that I wanted to fix it myself. Finally let the dealer fix it a few weeks ago. Replaced the reservoir under warranty (who doesn’t buy an extended warranty on a first year model???) and no issues now.

Regarding the deductible ($200), if you wait until there are several issues under warranty, it’s just one deductible instead of several deductibles.

Bought the $0 deductible luckily. Seemed to have made at least part of it worth it because they are replacing the part and quoting 2.5 hours of labor!

Add me to the list. Went to try a wipe a large insect splat in my line of sight and no fluid. Hmm no fluid, that’s weird I never let it get low. Get home grab the jug proceeds to take about a gallon which then empties onto the fender liner, the right front tire and the ground.

Has Ford issued a TSB for this known problem? I’m sure my local dealer will say they never heard of this before. I like to be prepared before making my appointment.

Well finally figured mine out since the dealer couldn’t. While it was consistently leaking at the front passenger wheel well, turns out there was a pinhole leak in the hose running to the back, behind the door sill electrical race that then led the water forward to the back of the front wheel well and out to the ground. Looks like the hose was weakened / melted somehow at the factory. ‘22 2 door.

i let this go for nearly 3 years, thinking it was just running down from the reservoir location to the fender and not realizing the passenger floor was wet under the “washout” liner. Bonus now is getting it all to dry, but at least finally solved.

Perfect timing, now that the winter road slop is upon us. Not sure which is sloppier, metro Detroit highways or Ford’s QC.

Honest to God, this morning was the first time I checked my private seller value on Kelley Blue Book. I guess it’s the last straw after my truck was delivered missing skid plates/bash plates even though I ordered them, cracking hardtop (2k miles out of warranty), loose body mounts, a disconnected line in the turbo system, broken drivers seat recline lever, top panel peg hole misalignment, disconnected rear window defroster wires, missing firewall grommet/plug. I’m sure there is more but I don’t remember.

Ford sucks. Never again unless it’s a used Bronco or Bronco II.

Brought my 24 Badlands in for fluid leak. They replaced the reservoir under extended warranty w/ $100 deductible.

Picked up and still was leaking. They're telling me they have to replace the hose to rear but now this is NOT under warranty and going to cost over $1,000 to fix.

Seeing all the issues here this seems to be a recurring issue and I don't understand why its not covered.

2021 Badlands with a leak somewhere. Filled the reservoir during my previous trip to the White Mountains after I found it bone dry when trying to clear some bug guts on the windshield. Fast forward a couple months and another trip to the mountains and it's completely dry again and I've used it maybe once in between. Obviously a leak low on the system since I got no fluid at all either time. Of course the Ford app says the fluid level is good

Been noticing my reservoir gets empty really quickly and finally decided to pay attention. Bought a new bottle, poured it into reservoir and marked on the bottle how much I used. I happened to hear a drip sound on the garage floor and saw fluid actively dripping on the floor. The felt in the front passenger wheel well was wet and dripping right under the reservoir. Also noticed dripping at the felt near the rock rail area. Dripping stops after a few minutes. Over the past two days, I have not used the washer fluid function on the wipers, but have proceeded to add more fluid every few hours or so. Obviously a leak somewhere or a crack in the reservoir.

Anyone have this issue? Will be calling the dealer soon.

I had the same thing happen. They had to replace the tank; it was done under warranty.
