See the article I just ran across. They mentioned that while it has the engine from the Raptor, "it will be tuned to be less 'Raptor-y'".

https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/aut...S&cvid=6a2184cc1e6e459ebff031a8f6b39a93&ei=14
Interesting, newsy bits from that MSN article:

“… From the outside, the Bronco Filson doesn’t stray too far from the familiar, but a few details help distinguish it from other Broncos. A unique grille with small perforated holes, painted fender flares and mirror caps, and its own trail sights on the corners of the hood. The signature color is Field Green Metallic, although buyers will also be able to choose from Marsh Gray, Avalanche Gray, Desert Sand, Shadow Black, and Oxford White, all of them previously available on the Bronco.

(so more like a trim, than an edition?)

Ford will celebrate the launch with a limited First Edition model for North America. Buyers who opt for the First Edition will get a few extras, including exclusive Iron Sands Copper Metallic paint, a unique fender badge, a serialized console plaque commemorating the Ford-Filson collaboration, and additional Filson-inspired cargo storage bags. Filson fans will also be able to buy merch from the Filson by Bronco collection, which debuts tomorrow.

(so this is the ‘edition‘ and for an EXTRA few thousand, you‘ll get an exclusive limited run color, some numbered badging, and a couple more saddle bags.)

Yay!!! Fantastic job Ford and Filson!!! This is finally a gonna be home run...But, how do we convince Ford to build a 2dr version??? Take my 💰 🤑 if they do a 2dr Im in!
Either way Ill be upgrading to those seats !!! Exactly what I was anticipating from Filson. Their leatherwork is excellent. Hopefully they stick to American manufacturing and dont outsource the interior.
How can any Bronco in the $70K+ territory be a "home run?" It's a gussied-up Bronco. It's not even available in a 2-door and/or manual transmission. Am I the only one that doesn't understand "There is a massive difference between premium and precious" and similar fluffy marketing language?

I think this is a nice trim. The Filson bags are a very nice touch, as some on this board have done similar saddle bags for the pockets and behind-the-seat storage.

The colours are nice. I like the copper colour in the presentation video. The top being re-vamped t0 being 20% more quiet will be a major selling point. I think this trim will sell as well if not better as the Stoppe editions or even the Heritage editions.

Ineos too niche. Very few dealers in the mountain west (one per state in UT, CO, WY and AZ). I‘m sure Ineos would be into it, but it doesn’t do much for Filson.

I’ll be surprised if there’s a Lincoln Bronco, but I’m surprised Lincoln badge still exists at all. The average Lincoln buyer has got to be in their 70s. That’s maybe not that far off the age of the high-priced trim Bronco buyer, but it’s not exactly the rugged personality Ford wants to associate with the Bronco.

Ford has worked hard to make the new Bronco brand cool. Lincoln is Grandpa going to church.
Actually first Ineos dealer (signed) in US was in Idaho.... But you are right, not many. I disagree with your characterization of the average Filson buyer though... They are the wealthy middle class... in their mid 30s to mid 50s.... AND they get the catalog from Filson in their mail box....

No, you’re one of the many who don’t understand. But clearly this is for a buyer who would NEVER even consider a 2DR or a manual. It’s not really that tough to appreciate that the majority of the consumer public prefers a 4D auto, is it? Signed, a 2DR owner.

Guys in late-middle age like to think they’re still in their mid-30s to mid-50s. This is why Filson is a good brand partner for Ford, who’s high-end buyers will likely skew older than the Filson customer. In the branding world, this is “aspirational” … and exactly why grandpa’s Lincoln is a poor brand association for Bronco.

This is a Ford Bronco, folks. And this is why most Americans couldn’t find two pennies to rub together if they had to.
I think this level of detail should have been offered with the luxury package price point. I won’t be a buyer but that’s only because I don’t known where all the money comes from, I can never seem to find it.

Grill is bad. Why that bumper. Hope they changed all the plastics that they use as they mark up so easily. I had a 2005 F150 and what I got rid of it two years ago there were no scratches on any of the plastic on the inside. The bronco plastic sucks.

Why would Ford reveal this with the old center cluster and no 4A on the GOAT dial?
It’s preproduction, grabbed some old parts to make use of them.

You may be right... but I know a lot of people in that mid 30s to mid 50s that have plenty of spending money that I think will be all over this. They tend to be highly educated, well paid, inherited considerable sums, and they do get outdoors... BUT usually with a guide...LOL...

Interesting tidbit on the noise reduction from Bronco Nation staff on their forums:

“Also, good news for other 2027 trim owners: The body modifications that contribute to making the Filson 20% quieter will transfer to the rest of the lineup.”

Yeah, it sounds like they're planning on this staying as a trim level (effectively taking Wildtrak's spot as the top "luxury" trim......with Wildtrak now effectively being a Badlands an appearance/bundle package now), similar to how Eddie Bauer used to be a trim level on Explorers, Expeditions, etc.
The fact they're doing a "First Edition" Filson trim on top of the "regular" Filson one also points to that.
