Ineos too niche. Very few dealers in the mountain west (one per state in UT, CO, WY and AZ). Iām sure Ineos would be into it, but it doesnāt do much for Filson. This is a preview of things to come. 3.0, Fox shocks, premium interior, quieter. Ford sees the sales success of Lexus GX, Land Cruiser & Defender and they want to be part of the premium off-road segment. For sure there will be a Lincoln Bronco, but I suspect we'll see Outer Banks repositioned as a more luxury focused Bronco.
I feel like a Filson/Grenadier would have been a better brand collaboration. Just my 2 cents.
Iāll be surprised if thereās a Lincoln Bronco, but Iām surprised Lincoln badge still exists at all. The average Lincoln buyer has got to be in their 70s. Thatās maybe not that far off the age of the high-priced trim Bronco buyer, but itās not exactly the rugged personality Ford wants to associate with the Bronco.
Ford has worked hard to make the new Bronco brand cool. Lincoln is Grandpa going to church.
