Going to the Gilford, NH Off Roadeo on May 30th?

I'm looking to see if anyone else on the forum is going to the Off-Roadeo on May 30th and is interested in hitting the nearby trails on Sunday (May 31st) morning. Even if you're not attending the Off Roadeo and just want to wheel, the more the merrier.

We can can pick trails appropriate to everyone's rig, I'm not looking to push through 2ft thick mud or do extreme crawling.

No offrodeo but I frequently go to armor ditch in ossipee. It's right next to Green mountain furniture.. and has a stellar resturaunt on-site.. not only that but.. they also pour their drinks deeper than Chinese restaurants do

All levels of trails.

I'm contemplating it. Brand new '25 4 door badsquatch. Im just NW of albany. Would drive out Friday, stay till Sunday, Monday? Where are you staying? Camping ?

I'm coming in on Friday night and staying two nights in a hotel 15 minutes from the Off Rodeo site. Not the one associated with the event, using loyalty points. I was planning on driving home mid/late Sunday afternoon.

@Dexter @BRONK66 I got in touch with a few people going to the Off Roadeo on Saturday that are interested in going out on Sunday, but have never gone off road before. So I'm thinking that Natty's Route with that portion by Clapp Rd may discourage some. With all the rain we've had lately that will continue through Fri/Sat, I'm thinking Talcott Road to Old Stage Road may be more appropriate as I don't want to leave anyone willing to go behind. The inevitable mud will make the trail (2/10) a bit more challenging, but clearly not impassible. I'll have all my recovery gear, so I should be able to yank/winch anyone that may have an issue.

If you (or anyone else) is interested, I'll check in on the forum on Saturday Night.

I just went yesterday the 28th, and I only went because I got the notice the free spot was about to time out for me.

It was the most fun I've had with my clothes on in a long time. To think I almost took a pass. I went by my onesies and if you are, volunteer to drive one of the instructors when they ask. You get to drive the whole time since there is nobody to trade off with and go through the spicy parts first.

This shot does not do justice to the route. There are some very steep tasty spots all over Gunstock Mountain. The Bronco is really an amazing machine, especially them Samsquanch one's. I'd love to go again but do nothing but ground guide next time.

They have a huge stable of vehicles all with the bells and whistles and wicked low tire pressure. Nobody rode their own, but why would you, if you roll all the way down a ◆◆ you can still drive your own vehicle home.

I did the NH rodeo a few years ago. The trails wind through the forests. The only time you hit 20 mph is driving through the stone parking lot back to the base. It was a fun experience. I left wondering if the other rodeo locations due to their make up had times when a “ faster speed” was part of the trails….I myself would find rolling through desert terrain much more my thing. Have a great time.

TN off roadeo never got out of 4 low except the parking lot and going to trails. The trees are very tight. So no speeding
