Bronco OE passive locking is the worst system have ever experienced ever in two decades over multiple models.

Firstly, doesnt work with back doors, then you need to practically rub the fob on gailgate to get it to work, then with locking the feedback is very poor never know if it actually locked.

Stick with the FOB this system would be a total waste of time and money to add on IMO.
It’s mildly delayed for me where I’ll have to pull 2x but generally works well. Love that I can have winter gloves on and use it unlike ones that use a tiny button.

I agree with the others who say the rear doors of the four-door should have this feature. It’s a pain in the ass if you have a backpack or have kids that you need to put in the rear seat first before you get in the car. this is not only Ford a lot of vehicle manufacturers do this.
IIRC it’s a trim thing for my RAV4 where the fronts have it on lower ones and rears gain it on higher trims. That’d make me believe it could be done aftermarket with provisions being available but in the Broncos case I’m doubtful without a good bit of wiring run.

No it unlocks all. On ours anyway. 2024 mid package 4-door.
Same for my 2021 Lux. I just got used to touching the front door before opening the rear doors.

I have the Lux pkg already but would seriously consider anyway if it did the rear doors as well. Don’t know why Ford did the front doors and tailgate but not rear doors.

Can I use the included front door handles on the back door and follow the instructions?
My 25 badlands lux came with that feature on front and the rear door.

On both of my Broncos (Bad High & BadSas Lux) the tailgate handle only unlocks the tailgate but pushing the tailgate lock button locks everything. I consider this to be a good design choice. I have no problem with having to touch the front handle to unlock the rear doors. Ford got this one right.

Because Ford is cheap and wanted to save money

Now if it also did the partial window drop (out of the seal drop) at the same time....I would consider this.

Can it be done? Absolutely. Can it be done easily? probably not... You are going to have to spice into the wiring for the front door handle feeds is my guess. Try to convince the BCM you have a two door with each door having two feeds... That is my guess. You would need the new door handles so that the rear doors have the sensor on the inside of the handle.... BUT I am just guessing on how to do it. ANYTHING can be done. you just have to be resourceful enough to figure it out.

I’m fairly decent with most things in vehicles, they have obviously made things more difficult with all the microchips. Currently working on swapping my 2021 center console to a 2025 center console with AC vents, but that will get done when I take some time off from work, haha. I have some ideas for a possible work around on the handles but not sure if it would work.

It’s extremely easy to touch the front door handle, which unlocks all the doors and then open the rear.
However when I traded in my Edge Sport it was hard to get used to the rear passenger doors not being able to unlock the car and that sticker at 30K less than this Bronco 😁. I was very used to all 4 doors working. I have now adapted but still find myself grabbing the rear doors and being disappointed. :(
