When off-roading, do you use goat modes or do you manually configure your Bronco?

It varies. I generally just switch into 4 HI for the short stretches where I need it when headed home, but I often visit friends who live further in the back country on hairier roads where the camera comes in handy - I just dial up OFF ROAD and turn off the rear locker and disconnect the front sway bar. I use one pedal drive on the steeper slopes with loose rock for more control. So far I haven’t had a need for 4 LO or ROCK CRAWL.

So - in short I use the GOAT modes often. At least two or three times a week.

I paid for those modes - might as well use them.

Am I the only one that uses 1-Pedal-Drive??? This mode is fantastic in slow sections of rough trails where maintaining an even speed (and momentum) is critical and more enjoyable. I LOVE THIS FEATURE.

They’re actually very helpful for all the reasons already mentioned, but in addition to those it does seem like the airbags are turned off from deploying with exception of more extreme conditions.

We use rock crawl and that’s basically it.

1 pedal is actually pretty phenomenal. And trail cruise control is absolutely awesome

When I did the offroadeo, our instructor kept us in normal mode the whole time. We never used the GOAT modes at all. He told us that he felt that it was more important to know how and why things worked. We did use the trail cruise but never changed the GOATs out of normal. It was a slight bit of 4A and then 4L the rest of the time.
