I guess mine must've been built on a Wednesday at the Toyota factory by unicorns. Only recall I've ever had was for the rear camera going blank, which it hasn't done but one time (a shift into N and back to R fixed it). That apparently was fixed with an OTA recently, according to the app.

I am just happy that they are at least fixing the things they missed or not properly set up.

I ordered up a 20pack of stainless nylock nuts m10x1 to add onto exposed threads on all 8 pivot bolts, the hope is that would add more strength to avoid bolts backing out

Took my '25 Badlands in for this recall today- service adviser showed me the recall document on her screen noting that if the bolts don't pass inspection, they'd have to order new bolts and give me a loaner. What she showed me said it's a do not drive recall unless they pass. We'll see later today what they find out.

Shouldn’t a dealership at least stock the bolts if scheduling recall inspection? They are just bolts at the end of the day and it seems incredibly wasteful to have to order them after the fact and give you a loaner.

Most folks have reported no issues ... Hope you are lucky as well. I've got a travel heavy month, so I'm waiting to go in for service and thenr call check in July.

Couldn't agree more- hoping if they do need to do it, they actually do have the bolts in stock...

I don’t think the PCM update for 26P04 can be done OTA
I got a notification yesterday that the HVAC-related PCM update 24.06.02 was available to install OTA. When I accepted the update, I later got a failure message saying: "The update was postponed because the battery was disconnected."

Is this a sign that my battery is low or that the update actually isn't available OTA?

Thanks for any guidance.

My dealer rep on phone said they haven't seen a failed inspection yet, another rep there said whatever hardware was not in stock and I thought I saw could be next month before replacement hardware is available but that could be wrong..

Took mine in for this recall- bolts inspected and no issues. Check another off the list.

I have no idea what update that is, but If it sent it, that specific update is available OTA.
You're battery SOC likely is just too low to complete it.

Thanks. Now I need to figure out how to sufficiently raise the battery SOC!

FYI, the notification describes the update as:

"We've updated some of the parameters within your vehicle's Powertrain Control Module to support HVAC improvements."
