I love them both! Here's my '76 back in my early 40's, and my 21 now in my early 60's.

I love both my 68 halfcab and my 22 2dr Big Bend. The only real complaint I can think of for the 68 is the vacuum wipers. The 3O on the tree is a great theat deterrent but so is the factory manual chock and the ignition on the left of the steering column. I am now 64 and do really appreciate the 22s comforts.

I had three of the f-150 based bronco's 84' 88' and 95. They were very tough, I went off the road in a snow storm in my 84' and launched it off a driveway culvert at 55 mph....... almost 20' of no tracks in the snow..... I actually hit my head on the ceiling. I though all 4 wheels would of fallen off when it came back down.... nothing... no damage. They were easy to work on and performed well as long as you had the 351. Lots of cargo room, loved the fold down tailgate.
My gen 6 is a flying computer.....way to complex for an off road vehicle, and i HATE the constant warnings..... On the other hand they did get the removable doors right, in fact I just took em off today  ( have to clear the "door electrical is disconnected" every time I start though.....)

Without each generation there maybe no Bronco today. Each generation has there good and bad points.

My grandpa died days after I was born but everyone talks about his 390 1 Gen Bronco and all I have is a picture it was his farm vehicle and shaggy the dog is in the back. So having my Bronco gives me smiles of "what would Grandpa think."

WOW! Grandpa squeezed a fe 390 in an early bronco?? Must not have had any inner fenders.๐Ÿ˜ƒ But I did squeeze a 400m in my โ€˜68, keeping the inner fenders, so good on him!,

I bought my '24 Badsquach High/Lux to replace my '94 XLT 5.8 over a year ago. I really wanted the modern sophistication and all the ability to travel and see new parts of the country. While I really like the new Bronco, I still have the '94 and find myself driving it more around town and running errands. Having to use a key to open the door, start the engine, and roll down the rear window is honestly somehow satisfying. The V8 rumble still makes me smile, the visibility is much better for off-roading, and while I'm too old to care what anyone thinks about my ride, I get tons of looks and thumbs-up's in the old Bronco, while the '24 is just another car. Road trips are much improved in the new Bronco, but the old Bronco feels like a truck and has been dead reliable. Plus, I just changed the timing chain and water pump and have done all the work and maintenance on it since '98. Not gonna happen with the new one.

I have no clue how he did it.

I am also told by two uncles (his son in laws) that he split them both, they were racing to the farm, on his way home from Whirlpool in a 50 Ford on two wheels through a curve to get home and was sitting at the dinner table when they showed up asking what took them so long.

Again I have no clue the validity of the story.
