Respectfully and critically,
My Bronco is acting like the transmission can't decide what gear it wants to stick to and is causing take off, turns and braking to be questionable.
2 weeks ago I broke my passanger side CV Axle with all 4 lockers engaged in reverse while pulling out another truck. My 22 badlands sas was towed to local Ford dealer.
I have a Ford Performance tuned, 2.3L 22' Badlands Sasquatch with 58K miles.
They replaced the front passanger CV Axle [attached picture of invoice] under warranty.Thank goodness!
But, when it arrived, they wanted to fix all 6 recalls after assuring me that the Ford Performance tune would not be effected. [Picture attached]
The tech started certain computer updates but I think messed up.
I negotiated to let me drive it. I needed it, not knowing they changed things half way or messed up.
Im not sure if they knew what they were doing.
I have a forscan license and have made some updates:
- day time lights orange
- disabled double honk
- enabled sport mode (only used twice)
Hardware I have added (engine wise):
- turbo blow off valve
- K&N air filter
I bought the Bronco used with 17K, 1 year old. When I got it, It came with what looks like Bilstein 5160s (No labels), which was weird. They are silver with the groves for coil seat adjustment which is strange. Im going to research the springs info when I get a min.
They say they are ordering a new PC or something to be replaced because of the recall. They also do not know what to do to fix the other recalls. The invoice shows the confusion I was told about.
Also, is it possible to have the same mileage you had going in as you did leaving with having the front CV axle changed?
My Bronco was perfect now acts spastic, slamming shifts and wrong torque.
Please give any advice you can muster!
Thanks!
