Old guy transition to sport mode

I grew up in the 70s and I’ve had some fast cars and engine modded early Broncos. I’ve always been pretty conservative driver though. I bought a new 2025 2.7L Heritage a few months ago and naturally drove mostly in eco mode. In the last few weeks it’s been sport mode all the way. It’s a joy to have that power for passing, making it through yellow lights etc. I’d lost site of how fun having that power is.

I have a 2026 2.3L manual, after driving a 2010 Prius for 16 years, and while it's not as fast as the 2.7L, its still pretty fun! I love 2nd and 3rd gear!! I have never been a slow Prius driver and while it still gets good mpg at high speeds (80++), it just doesn't have the pull you feel with the Bronco when the turbo kicks in. Looking forward to installing my Cobb intercooler, Steeda exhaust, and someday when legal in CA, the Ford Performance Tune. Zoom, zoom ...

Old guy too, the one that annoys the next two cars behind me cause I stop at yellows. But I'm liking Sport in the mountains for the gearing and throttle response in corners and up and down grade. I don't run it in town but it would be nice if it does away with the lag like when making a left in front of traffic

I had added Sport mode through Forscan and was looking forward to the better throttle response. Unfortunately, I have the AWE exhaust, which sounds great in Normal and Eco mode. However, Sport mode likes to be in the RPM range where the AWE exhaust is most annoyingly loud.

nah. I still drive very conservatively. I’m just really enjoying increased responsiveness

$500 ticket here for running yellow! Peoples who's time is that valuable travel in helicopters and have personal assistants haha.
