A battery with a 10 year lifespan that weighs under 200 lbs and is able to deliver 350 miles of driving range with all accessories running.
Replacement cost for new battery under $5k.
Recharge ability from 10% to full charge under 30 minutes.
If it can’t do these things it has no place outside of city use.
I will not spend hours waiting for a battery to charge which will add days to any trip. For me driving 1200 miles for a 4 day weekend trip is not happening with any of the electric options today.

hybrid adds to much extra weight and negates any benefit it brought. Today’s hybrid and electric technologies are only good for city life.

Rest of the world is going that way it seems
You mean the EU I think.
Most of the planet 🌎 s not EV friendly, South American, Africa, Asia and Australia are in no position to go EV like the EU nonsense.

All points valid up to a point, no pun intended. However, 95% of Bronco buyers, never see the dirt, the average distance people drive a day is 37 miles, and the last time I drove 1200 miles in 4 days I was 27, had lot more hair and much more bladder stamina. I did not do the Rubicon, I did Poison Spider in Moab (about 15 miles) and a couple of others back then (D90 1995), but here are some facts: The Rubicon is 22 miles, it takes about 3 days to do it and the closest gas station is about 20 miles away. That means I could possibly do it in my 2 door Badlands, 2.3 premium gas turbo, without using the jerry can.... Couldn´t an electric Bronco with 250 miles range do it? The answer is I don´t know because it hasn´t been done yet. Sure there are a lots of unknown, the weight of the car, etc... The funny thing I remember from my days of overlanding is that a lot of folks in the group were running electric coolers and toys, they even had the solar pannels to recharge them. Funny to me because I don´t thing overlanding is about bringing your living room to the woods.

Disagree, in South America specially. There are regions where you cannot find a gas station for days and they have to bring the gas by boat. Yet you find little houses with solar panels, and satellite internet. I saw it in the Amazon myself. There were no roads, but there was electricity, and plenty of sun. I mean, granted, these are places where not even a mule could make way, but in the places with flat open spaces, it is totally viable. Ok, in the summer, because in the wet season you would need an amphibious electric Bronco or a Boat.

Strictly talking about use case and factual data/tech relevant to economy and use, we all know 95% of Bronco owners should not be in a Bronco. US Consumers are buying the wrong vehicles for their needs a good portion of the time. We all know it but no one wants to admit it, that’s a different topic.
Teslas are cool and have a place, it’s just not in an adventure 4x4 market right now. Bronco is adventure 4x4 with outdoor lifestyle in mind.
Since we’re taking electric Bronco, my reasons stand.
I’m over 50 now and I’m not ready to go down without a fight, may 1000 more adventures lie in store for me still, I have no time to waste at the charging stations.
I hope you have a 1000 more adventures as well.
The trouble with the 22 mile rubicon for electric is not the miles it’s the hours.

You’re not driving an electric car on a mule track or a river or in the Amazon on no roads. Exactly my point, thank you.

And your sure as hell not charging an electric car battery on couple jungle solar panels that maintains a single 12v battery unless you plan on staying a week.
you can however pack fuel cans and buy gas from the boathouse if you got down that mule path with a vehicle.

This is definitely a concern. I have the powerboost f150 it is extremely heavy due to battery
How is that heavy battery going to do when it scrapes a boulder and creates a spark in the desert? 🤔😉

Got you. And I do believe in Adventure, so long life to it. If we really wanted to go to the core of it, and yes that is a whole'nother conversations, what is the value of buying and owning a vehicle, gas or electric, with their current quality and durability and guarantees offered? I mean, I love my 2.3 2 door Badlands, but if I were to leave it for use and abuse in the old country, it would not last even 1 year, due to a software issue or some other issue. We still have 1960´s FJs and landies running over there, that almost anyone can fix (not me, i don´t have that gift). Keep on playing my friend, road triping and traveling.

Fireworks, for sure, but then again, you have folks running cars with natural gas cylinders in the trunk. And you have stock Suzuki Jimnys (sure, gas 1.5 L) that are better of road that some bigger stock SUVs. My 2.3 Badlands is equipped with underbelly heavy armor, as a factory option, I wonder why right? My point is that to every problem, there may be an answer and that some times we want to see only what we want to see...;)

Yeah who knows how long the new generation of vehicles will last. They might be disposable unfortunately.
I would love a low to no tech new Bronco. The 90’s cpu for engine management and nothing else on the computer. Won’t happen but it would be nice.

I'd take a v8 over an EV Bronco any day of the week, fuel prices be damned.
I respect that. My last V8 was a Shelby 2013. Had to give it up because of the quality of the roads where I live, and no, i am not moving closer to the Autobahn anytime.

Exactly. I mean, some times i feel like all these car companies take us for a ride. I just installed the procal upgrade on my Bronco, and yes, it looks like I have more power and better fuel (premium) efficiency. But why the heck don´t they offer that as a factory option and why the heck the guarantee is reduced for 1 year when you install it? What kind of marketing is it? I guess I am a part of it.

What does "range" even mean, off road? ... In a rugged boulder-infested desert environment? With hills, marsh, rivers, etc?

i.e , How do you even measure, calculate, or guesstimate energy expenditure rates for such situations? This is all mumbo jumbo pie-in-the-sky stuff, until empirical data exists and is analyzed.

We know what a fuel/diesel powered ICE does. Everything else is speculation.
