In search of a Wildtrak

Ok so I had a 2022 WildTrak 2 door, and loved the 2.7. Now I can swallow getting a Badlands, but ford no longer offers the 2.7 in a two door! So do I bite the bullet and order a new one and swallow the 2.5? Or find a used WildTrak…? I have the cash in hand for it, so anyone looking to sell?

I failed to mention that I live in NJ and yes I’m willing to travel.

When I first started seriously looking to purchase (2024), 2-door & V6 were at the top of my Must Have list. By the time I got around to actually buying (2025) I had to choose which of those was truly mandatory.

I drove many variations of each, including leftover MY24's that had both. For me, it became an easy choice.

The 2.3 is small, but makes big power for its size. It is more than adequate for freeway merging, off road grunt, and surprising the tuner car next to you at the stoplight.

Id say give the smaller engine a chance...it might surprise you.

Go drive a new one with the 2.3 and see if you like it.
If not, find a used 2.7

I believe there was a WildTrak on a used lot in Amarillo. Was one of the Street properties on Soncy. Also an Everglades and a few Raptors...but they have sold in the time since I last perused 'local' used vehicles...

What you're looking for is slowly turning into a 'Unicorn'. I'm so glad I upgraded to the WT when I ordered mine.

Drive the 2.3 and see what you think.
Since I wouldn’t buy a Bronco without a manual transmission I had no choice back in 2021 bought my 2Door 7MT Badlands and self squatched it and with the 4.7 gears, FP tune and Pedal commander it’s pretty damn responsive and I have more powerful cars to compare it to.

Also, my same exact build is over $8k more now New, so glad I’m not shopping new. May make sense trying to find a used Wildtrack that’s already depreciated

Update to my thread,

In March I was able to find the twin to my original 2022 wildtrak. It was in Texas on a CARMAX listing. I made the decision to pull the Trigger, have them ship it to me, in NJ where I live, and April 4, purchased it!!! This is the twin to my original one and i haven't been happier!!!!
