EZ Flip top or Sunrider for Front Panels?

Yes- I know we have existing threads on this but I’ve looked through them and still can’t make a decision.

I’m looking to take off just my front roof panels but hate wrestling them into the bag.

Has anyone actually tried both, and have a preference?

The EZ flip top panels look cool in design, and I don’t want to drill into my roof, so I’m really concerned with the tape coming off long term and my roof flying off into the highway.

The sunrider from bestop also seems like a great option- the skyrider looks even better but lacks the ability to quickly install/uninstall during colder months. Unfortunately $1000 for the sunrider seems like way too much for what the product actually is and I haven’t seen any on marketplace.

Overall, looking to get further opinions on these options! Thanks in advance!

I'd say neither... soft top fits better than Skyrider. Skyrider looks out of place: color mismatch and shape fitment.

Flip panels is interesting but not a great design. And not reversible easily.

I'd like to see something like the Jeep Sky fabric electric roof design. Or a replacement hardtop with more of a sunroof concept.

We have swap to soft top after winter on our 2dr and it is by far the best way to enjoy open air easily.

Thanks I seriously would consider this, but not enough room to store my hardtop just yet.

I had the Sunrider on my 2020 Rubicon. It worked well but I do agree that it wasn't the best looking. It was however easy to switch between it and the hard panels. Probably took about 10 minutes once I had the tools together. Only the first install took any time because there was some assembly. They could have sold them assembled and just charged more for shipping. Not sure how it works on a Bronco, but it was good on the Jeep.

There are the clear acrylic front roof panels.....bit seriously those panels weigh nothing....though still cumbersome soft ops are cheap and have the flip.

Bestop for 2023 Wildtrax then onto the 2025 Stroppe. Best ~ $1000 modification we did. No drilling; quick install. Tight fit and latch initially but loosened up. Easy one-flip up and down. Let’s you enjoy every sunny moment.

Thank you I’m convinced. How is the sound compared to the hardtop? I know that there’s an addition hotheads headliner for purchase, but don’t want to spend extra if not needed either.

Honestly, can't say about the sound...never had anything on the Stroppe but the Bestop!

I love my sunrider for my 2DR! I really dont think its a significant noise increase over the hard top. It stays tight when closed, fully waterproof (even in drive thru car washes), and the convenience cant be beat. 3 seconds, and I have the top thrown back for open air. No more storing and wrestling w panels. Love it.

Yes, a bit of a color mis match, but I will overlook because of the convenience.

Good Luck!

I've had my Sunrider on a couple of Bronco's now and love it. Just Installed the Hothead Headliner which is a must have IMO, reduces wind noise. The roof panels are more quiet at least on the MOD top but not that much different and with the HotHead probably about the same. Nothing beats the ease with which you can open or close the top and of course not having to store the panels in the back. When it comes to a color mismatch nothing highlights that more than the white MOD top, but I'll live with it.
